MemberPraetorianApr-06-2017 7:56 PMSo after the release of the "Take me home, country roads" trailer featuring the John Denver song they have really stepped up the quality of this film, and I hope the song features in the actual movie. A good well known song that emotes to the film can make such a difference to how the viewer perceives and remembers the film. It adds another dimension and layer to the experience.
Think of Guns n' Roses "you could be mine" in T2, or Little Richards "Long tall sally" in Predator as excellent Sci-fi examples. Classic memorable films that portrayed the era of those films.
The perspective "Take me home" gives to the film is a feeling of melancholy, nostalgia (wheat fields) and homesickness. It is also builds on Ridley Scotts Truckers-in-space feel he was trying to portray in the original Alien, with the country vibe of the song.
What other songs do you all think would suit this film, and would like see featured in the movie???
Here are my top 4. I've tried to stick with classic bluesy/country/rock song.
1. If I ever leave this world alive - Flogging Molly (how fitting)

2. Walk all over you - AC/DC ( Aussie Rock m/ )

3. Rock n Roll - Led Zeppelin

4. Electric Worry - Clutch

MemberPraetorianApr-06-2017 8:16 PMEveryone talks about the Vietnam-era war style to JCs Aliens Colonial Marines, but for me Predator does it better simply because of that '50s era Little Richard song in there. That song in Aliens would have portrayed that style and military era nostalgia so much better than the boring military drumming score in Aliens

I think it would be interesting watching David use the Black Goo while also thinking about his despise for his creators to this song.

However, if you could provide a link to Haunting Me for DK, I would be greatly appreciative. I do not know how to undertake the action. :)
