What collides with the Weyland-Yutani Maginot vessel in Alien: Earth?

AdminEngineerJun-08-2025 11:47 AMThe latest Alien: Earth teaser called "Collision" repeats the same warning "collision imminent" and the opening shot shows the USCSS Maginot hurtling towards Earth - but there's a bunch of debris floating to the side. Is this another ship outside Earth's orbit the Maginot collides into on its crash course to the planet? Or... did the vessel come into contact with something else?
Peep the key frame that features "From creator Noah Hawley", I've lightened up the frame and taken screenshots - hard to see, maybe it's a hallway inside the ship, or it also kinda looks like the Maginot is about to collide with another object.
It could be a shot of the Maginot smashing through the side of an orbiting space station, or could it be another vessel? Is it Human? Or is it possible someone or something else cased the Maginot to crash land on Earth?
Why also was the Maginot on a course to Earth? Usually if the Weyland-Yutani ships encountered issues they would auto-pilot back to Earth - sure. But why to Prodigy City? A rival company's front door step? Surely if it was by design the ship would aim to dock back in Weyland-Yutani territory...
