Greetings to fellow fans!
I am new to this so I hereby give my apologies for this if it sounds really bad, but...
I know this is a pretty far long shot but, does the Prometheus remind anybody of the ship FIREFLY/SERENITY ? Roughly the way it looks, the engine pods and such.
In the show Firefly, the pilot episode, the lead character, Malcolm Reynolds, mans a set of guns, when it shows the heads-up-display, at the bottom of it is the Weyland Yutani emblem. Check it out!

MemberOvomorphApr-04-2012 5:57 PMWell, I do have to say the company that chases after the ship in Serenity reminds me of the Weyland-Yutani corporation.. As for the ship itself, it does share some resemblances, namely the way the engines are shaped.

MemberOvomorphApr-04-2012 6:10 PMMy friend said the same thing. I honestly don't think they look similar. (I loved Firefly, but I never liked the ship design.)

On Serenity, the assasin says, "We're building a better world. All of them, better worlds."
Same logo in both worlds.
Similar ship design.
Similar storyline (earth lost colonizing new worlds through terraforming)
Character paraphrasing corporate slogan.
Sounds like they are in the same universe...
