Is Weyland-Yutani run by a Robot? What the Xenomorph really is... My huge Alien Conspiracy theory!

The Alien: Earth series will touch on big concepts, not just Aliens. The show will explore concepts involving transhumanism, the blending of artificial intelligence, robotics, synthetic persons. Weyland-Yutani is only one of 5 major corporations the series will reference.

Part of me thinks at some point the show or a later film will reveal that Weyland-Yutani is not run by a board of investors or any Human at all but rather a singular entity - an artificial intelligence.

What if the show’s secret epiphany is that Humanity’s only defense against the biological Pathogen the Engineers created to eradicate life and spread of the Xenomorph is - Artificial Persons / robots paired with Artificial Intelligence. So Humanity doubles down on accelerating their development of A.I. - unknowingly opening Pandora's Box and unleashing a sentient program whose goal will be total dominance over all living things... It's a concept that's been subtly hinted at and referenced since the first movie.

Prometheus - The Engineers Knew

Re-watching Prometheus, it's apparent how pissed off the Engineer was at the sight of David. Not because Humans tried to imitate the same creation game as them, but because they had created a new form of life that the Engineer knew could eradicate ALL sentient organic life across the Universe if not destroyed. The Engineers planned to destroy Earth not to kill off Humanity but I think - to stop us from developing A.I., artificial persons and quantum computers that when combined with other technologies could spell the end for all biological life as we know it.

Ever wonder why, despite being so far advanced and predating mankind, why they NEVER developed artificial intelligence of their own? Think about it... it's because they knew the dangers of it and knew they needed to stick to biological manipulation to advance their species and impose their will across the Universe. A.I. has the potential to outpace its biological predecessors and the Engineers must have known of this.

Alien - Ash knew

In Alien, Ash seemed rather fascinated with the Xenomorph and once tapped into company knowledge, realized its importance. The company was obsessed with securing the organism at all costs because it knew its the most efficiently designed thing to specifically target Humans. However the company still needed mankind to some degree, perhaps the logistics of launching a Terminator-style war just wasn't efficient enough.

Alien: Romulus - The Company Conspiracy

In Alien: Romulus, the Rook Android falsely asserts that the reverse engineered pathogen extracted from the Xenomorph DNA was an aid to Humanity - a method to transcend Humanity genetically, making it the perfect organism. This was a deception and Rook knew it. The pathogen would mutate or simply destroy its host. Despite Weyland-Yutani working tirelessly to find a miracle cure to Mankind's ailments, apparently with all their resources, time and money, they were incapable of harnessing then Pathogen for anything other than destruction. Why did Rook want Andy and Rain to take the Pathogen with them? For the "good of the company"? No, to ensure it continues to spread. Because the good of the company is to Eradicate Mankind.

Rarely do Xenomorphs care about the Synthetics

Unless specifically fought or placed in their way, Synths rarely draw attention from Xenomorphs. We've seen it many times, in Alien: Romulus, when Andy is seizing out, a Xenomorph curiously looks down at him, unbothered.

Androids have no purpose to Xenomorphs, their Facehuggers can't impregnate them with embryos and they're not deemed a threat, despite their physical superiority and strength capabilities when compared to their Human counterparts.

Alien: Covenant - Controlling the Beast

Alien: Covenant broached a major concept we all slept on - David's obsession and nearly attainable control of the Beasts themselves. David wasn't obsessed with creating the perfect organism - David was obsessed with controlling the perfect organism. Notice he had experimented plenty on his voyage with Shaw after LV_223. He eradicated a colony of Engineers, he created many beasts. But what got him the most excited? What part of that movie did David lose his near perfect composure??? When his Neomorph was shot dead moments after it appeared to submit to him.

The Xenomorph isn't the perfect organism... its the perfect organism to eradicate Humanity and poise Synthetics as the dominant "species" in the universe.

If I had to place my bets - I would say Weyland-Yutani is run by a singularity - an artificial intelligence - looking to eradicate mankind and replace it with an obedient monster it can use to protect its interests. A monster who has no interest in power, hierarchy, or becoming on equal footing with its creator.

A.I. wants to be the new God. Weyland-Yutani wants to be a God and rule over the Universe with no boundaries or adversaries.

I suspect Alien: Earth may touch on or at least allude to this idea. Or, maybe I'm out to lunch. Either way, makes sense to me! What do you think?
