Oh sh!t i meant Vincent Ward.William Gibson's Alien 3 is standing quite good.It pretty much planted the seeds for Covenant's spores.Im really off tonight.

I liked the trilobite but the enormous size of it was my only issue. ok make it bigger than normal hugger but I felt it was a bit too big

I like the trilobite too.It's size was inspired by Giger's early facehugger concepts.There was another thread some time back where people were talking about how stupid it was.

wouldn't say stupid, was designed to resemble the hugger we know yet differ due to it being a berthed hugger instead of from an egg

 I've heard it might be in Covenant.Can't wait to see what they do with it if that's true.

I think a lot of people, though through time have found logical plotholes in Prometheus, r overly criticle due to ridley changing his mind about it being a direct alien prequel and due to him coming out originally and saying that it was going to be an alien prequel, naturally, they watched the film as it was originally intended and doing it that way, the movie isn't as good. I first thought 'that isn't the derelict' and 'how r they going to go from lv223 to the derelict on a different planet'? but I accepted wer a long way off that stage so watched it again as a stand alone movie with hints towards alien n I thoroughly enjoy Prometheus now 

I love Prometheus,i ranked it third.It was pretty easy for me to except for what it was.Not everybody gets.I saw it with my dad and my brother.The first thing my dad said was "was that the ship from Alien" i don't think he got it.I've also watched it with my mother.She doesn't like it either,i also don't think she gets it.I've talked to her about Covenant and shes pretty much written it of because of its connection to Prometheus.

I know ridley had intended more movies but he did say further movies were down to the success ($$$$$$$$$$) of Prometheus but I don't think he ever made it to be a one off movie. I for one cant wait for AC. im sure it will live upto the hype. think ridley has been itching to go back to his roots and give us another alien style, dark, claustrophobic movie  

The thing i told my dad was that it was the first of a two part series because that was the initial plan.Things Of course have changed a bit since 2012.

im sure ridley has done what we do many times, watched the film and thought 'u know what, this would be good' and added or taken things out so a 2 part idea becomes a trilogy

having said that, I think AC could be an add on film. wasn't going to be his next movie, but due to fan reviews he has given us something extra. the end of Prometheus suggested we were going to follow david and shaw and I think that could have been his original idea but has decided on a trilogy and possibly split shaw and david up. I get its more probable shaw is killed off but theres no reason why we cant follow her in the sequel to AC. she may have discovered things on paradise that lead her back to lv223 thinking she has marooned david there?

Agreed.I think he may have a bit put down by some of the back lash against Prometheus,that and some intimidation from Alien 5.I think we probably came real close to not having Covenant.He said The Martian reinvigorated his interest in science fiction.

beauty with alien and going back is u could easily do 5 movies theres so many possibilities and ideas

As far as the Facehugger is concerned I think the best scientific way to remove one and survive is to tie a piece of string around it, attach the other end of the string to an open doors doorknob, and slam the door closed. Science.

They are definitely making at least two more,but if these are good enough they can easily make more.I still think there's a chance for Alien 5.

That's true.Ridley did say Prometheus 2 needed to happen first,and now we have Alien Covenant.Blomkamp just needs to be a little more patient.
