ALIEN revised script from March,1978

I just got this from The Prop Store of London. It's a revised script from the film ALIEN (1979). It's dated March,1978 on the inside cover.

It's not the final version of the script. Being that its 100 pages I haven't read the whole thing yet.

I have managed to find a few scenes that were not filmed but I'd heard about. One being Ripley's encounter with Kane's corpse through one of the Nostromo's windows.

Another scene has Dallas and Ripley getting butt naked together. This explains my recent discovery that the UK gave ALIEN an X rating ( big Thankyou to Sawa for bringing that to my attention).

Very Interesting...

Its always interesting to read older drafts of Movies..... as they sometimes give some insight into scenes that was not shown, scenes we may never had heard about and some scenes we can understand why they never used them and some scenes where we Question, why did they not add that.

The Intimate Scene, i never saw that comming and i wonder why sequels seem to use elements from other drafts of other movies that never made it to screen... could this scene had influenced Shaw and Holloways?

I do like reading the drafts, as both Spaights and Lindeloffs Prometheus ideas and drafts had a number of things that if they combined parts of both and got a real good writter in to tidy it up, then what a Movie we could have had.

I was going to re-vise a Prometheus draft myself... that would mix stuff from Spaights and Lindeloffs and what was in the movie, with a few additions myself to Tidy it up a bit.. but i never got round to it.
