MemberOvomorphJun-16-2014 1:34 PMHello, members of the Prometheus/Alien community! I finished a blocky build of the USCSS Prometheus in a game you might've heard of (Minecraft). I just thought I'd share it here to see what fans think, and whether or not its as accurate as I was going for:
I also made the interior with all of the locations in the film plus places I made up and took from Alien in order to fill up as much space as possible. I can't wait to see if there's another futuristic ship in Paradise for me to build! (Wasn't sure if this belonged here or in Prometheus Fan Art. Feel free to move it)

One thing that bugs me about hollywood spaceships, though.... the spacious accomodations for the crew. The volume and weight of these cabin areas would come at an insane price on a spacecraft (not very realistic). I realize it helps them to film the scenes, but come on - some of these rooms and corridors are bigger than you would find in a modern-day office building. Tell Ridley to firm things up with some realism when he designs his spaceraft. Geez, with all this cabin space, where would you put the fuel or the reactors or the life support stuff or the other subsystems? I realize you can't be too cramped to film, but at least space things on the order of a working surface vessel. j1
