MemberOvomorphJan-08-2014 7:33 PMIn the wake of the alien isolation trailer, the gaming website http://www.escapistmagazine.com/ has been all over it, and other alien related things. Among these was an articel written by Schuyler J. Dievendorf, expressing his thoughts on how Aliens ruined the alien franchise. the very next day, fellow writter and alien fan Jim Sterling responded with a rebuttal defending the movie. both articles are well written and interesting, and i recommend checking them out. here are the links:

To be honest I think the colonial marines were very well done. Judging by the way they acted (their charactors that is) you could see what sort of person they were, and hints of their back ground. When james cameron cast Hudson, he told bill paxton to think of a person raised by a solo mother. I think Bill Paxton hit the nail on the head. Hudson was brilliant.
There are a few thing that I don't like about aliens. In particular, the dumbing down of the alien and the introduction of the queen. It really didn't add much to the story as a whole (except if you don't consider the queen as cannon) . But all in all I think it has quite a few merits.

MemberOvomorphJan-09-2014 5:34 PMInteresting comments, about multiple films from the franchise, likes and dislikes are all very interesting, but saying that ratings speak much better and then clearly the film with the higher rating has more likes from cinema goers.
