MemberOvomorphJan-08-2014 2:57 PMUpon awakening, the engineer was obviously furious. Ok, 2,000 year nap, granted. Why did Engineer pull David's head/processor off? Are you kidding me? An artificial being is speaking your language and you're not curious? Really?
How was Shaw so certain of the Engineer's hatred and immediate mission to go kill the humans?
In the "workplace" the Engineers were stacked up against a wall with busted chests. How were the Xenomorphs synchronized and able to get all of them to that same location before busting out?
It seems unsatisfactory to me that the Engineers desired to destroy entire ecosystems of life with the Xenomorphs? Why?

MemberDeaconJan-09-2014 9:49 AMThis has been discussed a number of times, and its basically down to how they edited the movie.
There seems little reason in the theatrical trailer and we see the Engineer seemed intriged at first then same when he touched Davids Head to then well going postal. And Ridley has passed it off as they just Agressive £"!$%%£" and we then have to ask why create us then etc?
Basically a royal balls up by Ridley and Fox, maybe for some reason as to redesign the Elders and make the Engineers more of a Servent Race to them like David was to Mankind.
The deleted Scenes, and also some scenes that was not even on the deleted scenes and also rough translations to the longer Engineer Speaks Scenes, give us more insight.
This Engineer was suprised to see Mankind had found his races outpost, he was intriged by us and especially Shaw and her Questions.
Basically Weyland told David to tell the Engineers why they came. i.e discovered clues on Earth left behind inviting us to find them.
The Engineer wanted to know why they came, wondered what did they want or hope to achieve by comming here.
Shaw wanted aswers and the Engineer could sense Weyland was the one giving orders and asking questions, and that he saw only his own (Weylands) Questions and Agenda mattered and that Shaws and others did not.
Engineer would sense Weyland was argogant and cared little for his fellow Humans, David then told the Engineer that Weyland was dying and he wanted the Engineer to grant him more life i,e make him young and imortal.
The Engineer asks why should Weyland have such a gift and why should the Engineer grant it...
Weyland then tells the Engineer that he like the Engineers created David in his own Image, and thus this makes Weyland a Creator like the Engineers and that Gods are not meant to Die. So basically Weyland saying as he created David he wants to be immortal as a God like the Engineers (or so Weyland assumed they are Immortal).
With this the Engineer placed his hand on Davids head and then realised he was not a living being but a creation of Weyland, and this was blasphemous and so the Engineer decided to rip the head off David and kill his creator with it.
He then realised that Mankind is indeed a race that is arogant, selfish and want to be as Gods and that we now know and can travel to LV 223 and get our hands on the Engineers Secrets and thus the Engineer set off to complete the mission that for some reasons was halted 2000 years ago.
This is basically what happened.
But the theatrical released edited and cut down such scenes, they also never showed a Scene where the Engineer picked up the Bible in Vickers Quaters.
Well i assume the Bible, but it may not be lol

MemberOvomorphJan-09-2014 5:46 PMThere 's a number of questioned asked, but the cut scene has it clearer if it happened before the scene in the Derelict. He get books and then kills.. Rather than he kills, goes all the way through them and still kills.. it's clear, a deranged killer of the group. Not that new!
