I'd say it's doubtful the film has anything to do with the Illuminati, or any other organization. It is the brain-child of Ridley Scott, who does it to express creativity and in his preferred way to push the envelope of what we expect from science fiction. There is little evidence of any other-worldly "seeding" ever happening on Earth. This is being kind. Rather, what evidence does exist is just some interesting ideas that motivate some research into it. There is no proof, and there never has been. To put the notion on the level of religion, or science, is ludicrous.
