That's why I thought there was a dude standing behind the crucified deacon !!!

It seem arms protruding from his shoulders and holding the deacon at its shoulders. And when someone said as much and seeing this image afterwards for the 1st tome that how came by this idea !! Sorry !!!

@Oduodu; I can see how you would have mistook it for a face in the first image! Have you noticed, just above said face, there is what looks like a vagina? And just below that, is what looks like an egg?

You could keep looking at this forever and always find something new that you didn't see before with all the shadows and negative space going on here. I think the only thing that's clear here without any misdirection is the xeno or deacon in the middle and the two engineers or humans being impregnated by face huggers or some other variant similar to them. Hell, you guys see a vagina and I can kind of see that but not, I do see a pelvic bone surrounding the deacons head (to the left and right), maybe you guys don't. I saw this pic last year after it was first posted on here and I'm just now seeing the outline of xeno head or maybe deacon on the left and right sides, doesn't mean it was implied by the artist though, maybe everything we see is implied, who knows.

Outlined it in red in case you're wondering. I can't see it in either of these pics but right behind where the two guys are standing can't we see an opened up egg there as well pretty clearly? All i can see now is the inverted pentagram (baphomet) behind the Deacon. He is basically splayed across an unholy alter. Loooooove it.

Well thats the Beauty with this Mural, it is ultimately Ambiguous, its like looking at a Formation of clouds and you can make out almost anything from the rest of it... On the Whole the thing looks like the Xeno Egg, but everywhere you look their are patterns that make all sorts of related things.. I think the deacon mural is a depiction of the alien's life cycle. Like Giger's original life cycle mural that he did for ALIEN. In the ALIEN mural, the border shows feminine legs with what looks like a sperm inbetween. In the deacon mural, right at the top is what looks like a vagina. Does this have some significance? EDIT: I was looking online for the ALIEN life cycle mural, I found it, and I've only just realised that they are not feminine legs, it is a depiction of a large, feminine looking bio-mechanoid, bent over. At her middle/stomach area, is what looks like a sperm penetrating her womb. That, I think, is Giger's idea of how the eggs came to be. IMHO - The mural is the depiction of the birth of pure Evil!

@Necronom 4 Yes that image does seem a representation of the Derelict, and also Giger did work on the Cargo Hold/Egg Silo that had like Pregnant bellies on the Walls, and he said this is where the Eggs was produced. This his Mural and Concept work seemed to point to the Derelict as being able to produce the Eggs... I think the clues was there for us all along, but Aliens gave us the Queen, and Prometheus now the Urns and so its not as simple as Gigers original vision.

You can see clearly two cosmonauts swallowed by two aliens (left right)and up there the big alien form, the cause of the misfortune, or the intruder.

When i look at it what i see is that maybe it shows us from a Egg a Deacon was born this maybe led to the Face Hugers that only produced the Bird looking Xeno and not the Deacon. Or its that the Deacon they found created Eggs, that then only produced the Bird Like Aliens, when the Engineers then tried every other way to create the Deacon and only could go as far as create the Xeno. It was only latter as a result of Prometheus and to Shaws Baby that then finally led to something similar to what these Engineers had spend thousands in not millions of years trying to recreate.

Perhaps this isn\\\'t a host/victim but an evolution of the alien shedding his shell. If you look at the original mural that we\\\'re talking about from Prometheus with the Deacon, it starts at the bottom, similar to Cobb\\\'s painting and ascends to the top. See how above the deacon/ xeno there is another domed head, maybe the mural depicts what the deacon/xeno is to become and maybe even what the engineers worship.

I have always said and still think the big door mural is a prophecy predicting the coming of the deacon. I think the engineers thought it would come about by infecting humans on earth -which is why the ship was set to go to earth. Why the deacon is so important I is more difficult to work out but maybe its the most advanced being they have ever created or it serves a big purpose. Probably something to do with god.

until yesterday I not realized it, for me is a warning representation, I can see clearly two engineers sitting (right and left) above the deacon, the creature. I do not see worship on it.
