How the new Alien, Predator and Prometheus comics will share a universe

As long as they keep it in the comics and out of the movie business I'm fine with that. Its not gonna keep me up at night worrying about a hand drawn entertainment. I wish when the first AVP movie came out that it followed the story in the future like the original comics but keep the WY out of it for a while.

@Anu, the problem with that is; It would only be a matter of time before somone decides to make a film adaptation of it, that's what I have a problem with. Then we'll all be back on here arguing over whether or not it is cannon.

But I know what you mean Anu. I would buy the comic just for entertainment, but I would hate to see a film adaptation of it. Probably.

It is a great article, and I just made a post about the entire thing over on [url=http://www.aliensversuspredator.net/community/forums/topic/28054]the Aliens vs Predator forums, here[/url]. But I don't think we need to worry about this affecting the result or story of [b]Prometheus 2[/b]. Since Ridley Scott has voiced his displeasure with the AvP films, I think it's safe to assume we won't be seeing Engineers arm wrestling Predators on the big screen any time soon.

This is a bad idea in a long and sad history of bad ideas... It'll all be even more tangled up than it already is!

I'm really excited to see if the comics are good!! It sounds cool to hear a fresh AvP story from them, but uhhh yeah. PLEAse keep these ideas FAAAAAR away from the big screen(and small screen) please!!!

I know this might sound strange to a lot of fans. Even to myself it seems strange. But I think that the Aliens, Predators, Humans, Replicants, and Engineers are all part of the same universe. I to be honest, this might not be such a bad thing. The predators for some reason love to hunt the Xenomorphs, besides the fact that they are the most dangerous and competitive game. There might be something to the hole grand scheme of things that we do not know about.

garbage. all of this predator/ AVP stuff is completely antithetical to the tenor of the narrative established in Alien and expounded upon in Prometheus. The abovementioned bit of information is utterly preposterous. Godzilla v. Aliens v. Predators v. Engineers v. kaiju v. ninja turtles. Please..... nonplussed. :/

I just dont want to give up on the old Dark Horse comics even though in real life aka movies it wouldn't work so well. Dont worry Joeyjoe I really dont think they'll mess it up at least for now. Keep a positive outcome and hell maybe they wont put them directly together instead. Hopefully they'll have different stroies invovling different aliens in different situations so maybe it wont be stepping on our Alien/Prometheus toes.

joeyjoe, you forgot Judge Dredd, terminator, Batman, and Superman! Remember those comics? Yeah I don't either, except for Batman: Dead End, but that was a video. No I completely understand your aggravation. Sometimes we fans just want it to be that there's just the human race and one evil race of aliens or monsters living out there in films. But the reality of this is that, that is not the case. I think the Xenomorph will forever be the darkest E.T. that has been encountered on the big screen. Just because there are predators and replicants means the xenomorphs are now weak and not the "greatest" threat to the universe. In AVP and the alien franchise, the xenomorph is seen as the "ultimate" evil and something that must be destroyed, no matter the cost. But like any other universe, this franchise is a melting pot of different species. Some of you might hate me for saying this, but to some extent this is like a dark and twisted star wars franchise. There are multiple races. Alternate Agendas A greater good and evil And idiots, such as Fifield and Milburn, to entertain us along the way. Or annoy us. Remember when Lucas created that demon know as Jar Jar. Same thing with this magical couple. Don't worry, it can not possibly be worse than AVP: Requiem or the Phantom Menace. oh, by the way. In response to your hole kaiju idea. It could be possible that the alien hive mind is some gigantic Xenomorph. And for the ninja turtles, maybe a crew mate in one of the future films likes reading the comics. And Godzilla, well, he's owned by Yutani.
