MemberOvomorphJun-19-2013 10:31 PMDavid used a similar headset as he did while watching Shaw's dreams. Weyland was in more of a mini Matrix, not simply dreaming like the crew. He was in a VR as his young self on a yacht with hot chicks abound.
(I feel like his 90+ year old heart would still stop when he saw 21 year old VR tits, but thats just my opinion)
As to building a robot of himself, sure; maybe he could. This, however, would not solve his dilemma. He sought to be truly immortal, not simply create a doppelgänger.
Weyland was Weyland, Vickers was human, and David was the f**king man.
I am so excited and fearful for the sequel. We better not have a redo of Aliens on our hands, lets keep this a truly Giger universe.
