MemberOvomorphMay-17-2013 9:07 PMThis is regarding the transformation method. In a delete scene from the alien movie, Dallas and kane were cocooned by the xeno, both were in varies stages of being transformed into eggs. Im only guessing here, but I think the xeno injects them with something, maybe from its tail (the tail shape in alien is different from the tail shape in aliens 2, 3, 4 and AVP movies).Did anyone else notice this? Maybe this substance that is injected is the black goo?!

MemberFacehuggerMay-17-2013 9:28 PMNow that is one hell of an interesting thought. I think it answers some questions that have been at the back of my mind about Prometheus, but here is a thought. If eggs are made by assimilating people. Then where did the eggs come from in the original Alien?
That's an interesting line of enquiry imo Pulserifle. More thought needed on that one. Good call.

MemberOvomorphMay-17-2013 9:32 PMThe scorpion tail and all that Giger stuff with Lambert LOL and yeah; the original cycle, IMO more creepy that the Queen.

AdminPraetorianMay-17-2013 9:51 PMYes it was noticed. It injects a paralytic agent if I remember correctly, I think the Allan Dean Foster novel explains that. Also note that S.I.L from "Species", which Giger also created (and is my alternate avatar :P), has a tail like that.
Here is the scene: Alien - Slightly Extended Death Scene

MemberOvomorphMay-18-2013 2:26 AMYes, the thing could inject some kind of substance, but at the same time is a crane.

MemberOvomorphMay-18-2013 2:52 AMThe tails (and stumpy legs) in A:R and the AVP films were awful and more like dinosaurs tails. The first Alien was Giger from head to tail literally - and not a swimming paddle in sight.

^^^ this. and more logical, as it was IN the movie, until cut.
2013 sci-fi horror novels 'Custodian' and 'Tandem' available from Amazon, B&N, iTunes etc...

MemberOvomorphMay-18-2013 4:58 AMThatt would make sense if it was to paralyse, therefore when they are being morphed, they can't move.
This still could be right about the eggs, it could've been Engineers that got stung by xeno's or worse.
But what i dont get is why dont the xeno's eat humans?? Just a little munch on the head is all i see. Maybe they deliberately keep the victims intact to preserve into an egg? Or so that the facehugger can get a xeno inside, no complications.?
Maybe they dont eat because they're biomech, all weird metal and dont have digestion system.

MemberOvomorphMay-18-2013 6:43 AMI think the the substance the the xeno injects into its victims may well be the black goo. Perhaps it has different effects or rates of progressions, maybe fifield was being transformed? (bit of a stretch).

MemberOvomorphMay-18-2013 10:59 AMHe maybe was, but because there was other people around, the goo's instinct would be to kill and harvest them, but if no ones around it turns into eggs and waits. Kinda like a never ending evil..

MemberOvomorphMay-18-2013 11:48 AMThe spores aboard the Derelict were made with lab grown humans. We can trace our origins back to their first attempts to provide a base medium for the Morb to multiply from, created from their own DNA. Then the Engineers divined a new use for the humans, a way to multiply themselves.
