If you consider that shaw left LV 223 with a ship full of bio weapons , how will she be received when she reaches LV223? If going by previous forum discussions the engineers on LV223 were renegades/rebels/dark angels. Will the engineers on their home world realise that shaw and david come in peace? I guess that if the home world engineers are hostile , shaw and daivd wont be completely unarmed.

This is a good question and one that I have considered before more than once but only touched upon it once or twice here. I have to believe that they will be irate when she shows up in one of their ships no less to their homeworld. I think they are probably arrogant and consider themselves as far above us as we consider ourselves to be above chimpanzees. After all they did seed us. The notion that we would now presume to hijack one of their ships and use an artificial machine man to run it - and we know how they respond to artificial people if David can be an example -would just gall them. They would think "How dare this monkey with his toy crawl out of its petri dish and insult us by thinking that 'it' could just show up on our door step without an invitation!!!!!!" That is how I think they will respond to Shaw and David when they make it to Paradise. This is assuming that the homeworld is still functional that is.....

Great civilizations have been known to fall. What if that happened centuries ago on the Engineers home planet (It would certainly keep production budgets down). Shaw and David might be seen as great gods from the past.

I dunno, If a race of creatures I created evolved so much that they and decided they wanted to not only come and talk to me but actually manage to fly a ship built by my own technology I would be a mighty proud indeed.

My money is on Paradise being in ruins. A wasteland exactly the opposite of what we would picture when imagining paradise. I also think some cool parts of Spaights' original draft may show up in the sequel.

See I agree with Fleshvessel this time. A potential wasteland, but if not it would be far more interesting. My hypothesis on how they would respond is based upon how the last engineer reacted to them when they woke him up. He seemed to have mixed feelings, remember him touching the chandeliers in the alternate ending with the fight? There would be an element of pride but mixed with their original motivation - which we still don't know yet - why they wanted to kill us anyway unless it is the space jesus theory.

I imagine that David and Shaw may ask the same question and approach the Engineers with caution. I agree that Paradise perhaps lays in ruins but some Engineers still remain. If Paradise has been untouched by the goo then the Engineers would be extremely concerned that one of their war ships has entered their air-space. If their planet has been infected by goo and there are still Engineers alive, the Engineers may allow a little indulgence and welcome David and Shaw; simply because the two had traveled so far to meet Shaw's creators and they had done so in an Engineer's craft. David and Shaw would then be quarantined and observed until the Engineers decide on the fate of the aliens. One thing is for sure, the Engineers are extremely powerful and dangerous and we will probably find out how powerful they are in the next movie.

That is a good point Albert. The idea of a dark and ominous Paradise would be the most disturbing, and if the engineers turn out to be powerful and dangerous as you say then RS may supprise us like he did in Alien: In Paradise no one can hear you scream!

wasteland is what i am thinking. if they ended up in a dark world in ruins that has almost no survivors. maybe there will be some sorts of lethal creatures, or should i say bioweapons, wiht a few survivng engineers living in hiding. i expect to see a world that is fairly human paradise might not be what the name suggests
"Will the engineers on their home world realise that shaw and david come in peace?"
Two thousand years later, there might not be much of a civilization left. Even if there is, David 8 has access to all of the holographic recordings on the Juggernaut and could probably figure out the procedures for landing and such and communicate in the Engineer language. The Engineers might not even know there's a Human and an Android on the ship.

I believe that there are more "races" of engineers just like people on the Earth. Don't forget that it is an ancient race. But if we want to figure out who they are we should look at ourselves in the mirror. What we see if we look at humanity in the mirror? There are people with love and kindness in their hearts, there are people ABLE TO RAPE THE WHOLE COUNTRY, nature and other animals for their own prosperity, and there are people who are able to do some horrible things (genocide, shooting). I think that those engineers who seeded us are that one with love and kindness in their hearts but who knows to whom she is going to cross her way. If she meet the bad guys there will be no welcome and she will for sure experience inspection and laboratory experiments. :-)
I have a pretty good idea of where it is. It's just down there, in the basement....

She will most likely be seen as a goddess by the space jockeys.

Another thing: Notice the engineers apparently lost contact with the bio-weapons facilities on LV223. That might suggest that the home world has come under some destructive forces, most likely from within and possibly due to their tinkering with mutagenic goo and xenomorphic bio-weapons.

they say that great civilisation are destroyed from within.....i would say the black goo that they created did just that. Im seeing a civilisation in ruins too or even one that is very fortified so to speak. I hope in paradise we see alot more of the engineers society......cant wait to be perfectly honest

hmmm the idea of a grey ominous gigeresque world ruined or otherwise whilst the obvious assumption.... i dunno i think the predictability of that however beautifully done might dissapoint me personally. ridley did say it will be the opposite of paradise but will it appear so on the surface, maybe it will be some pristine templar olympus-like 'paradise' but under a dictatorial regime with untold horrors going on behind closed doors and a minority faction of Good engineers struggling behind the scenes to return balance to their society and by extension the safety of earth

No doubt but that Ridley Scott has his hands full in finding the right people to construct a story line for this script, especially since damon Lindelof and Jon Spaihts are both unavailable. I know he did meet with DL to discuss ideas about Paradise but that will most likely be the end of Damon L.'s involvement. As I think about it, I think the main part you discussed about the world looking at first like we imaging but what happens to turn it dark and in what way - that part is where it gets less clear. The perspective script writers will have their hands full there.

I am thinking that it will be either be a nice place or a ravaged planet with ruins and crashed spaceships and fallen temples with few sparse populations. They might even find only the elders and maybe some young engineers.

The Anunnaki were on the earth in those days--and also afterward--when the sons of God went to the daughters of humans and had children by them. They were the heroes of old, mighty men of high reno
