how will shaw be 'received' when she get to the engineers home world?

It would be interesting to return to LV-223, a film that will delve further into the other pyramids, as far as I know! (The crew of the Prometheus only investigated the first pyramid) No one can say that all the pyramids had basically the same, so no one can guarantee that the other ships were also loaded as the first!

About LV-223 .. Maybe the Deacon in it's survivial mode accidently activates the entire Base. All the hidden Juggernauts, manned with waking Engineers, could arise out of the dirt of the moon. In fact who is to say that there are not other installations in the mountains nearby. I mention this because roads are indicated that lead to the mountains away from all the pyramids. Now with the Moon on full alert and fleet (how many 6-600?) ready and wanting some action watch out Shaw/David because they may be coming after you.

They would have to be wiped out, leaving nearly no trace or else the company would be all over them in an attempt to reverse engineer their tech. You have to consider that there is no reference to them in any previous incarnation, so to preserve the continuity, they'll be gone or maybe they can take the "they evolved past a state of mortality track".

I do think the engineers home world will be in ruins!I also think that there was a war within the engineers race.As far as we know the outbreak on Lv 223 could of been a attack from this war who said it was ever a leak of the goo?If it was a bio weapon base wouldnt that make it a prime Target to be destroyed? I know accidents happen but I would think the chances of a spill or outbreak is not likely! The engineers are smarter than that and surly have a high and proven safety protocol but it could happen I just see the attack as a more likely option.

My money- if I were a betting man- would be on the ruined Paradise hypothesis. Yes, I know it's predictable, but it's just about the only idea that makes sense given the presence of a world, chuck full with weapons, that the Engineers would know about, but do not claim for 2000 years. Even if the Engineers had a civil war, or outright war between politically different factions, they wouldn't abandon an arsenal if they still were alive and capable to get there. At the least, they'd destroy it to deny it to the opposition. Until someone presents a plausible alternative, ruined Paradise it is. (I did invent a rather different scenario in a flight of fancy for a fanfic, but that was specifically because I didn't want to write about the Engineer world being another tomb and had other thematic fish to fry. I do not claim my scenario is airtight, far from it.)

In a hypothetical war should be a winner, so there must be something more than just another tomb. Also I don't think that LV-223 is the only biological weapons facility, actually I can imagine thousands. Probably the Engineers are mostly dead, who knows, but maybe there is another race or faction that we don't known yet.

i agree with donnie about the lv223 attack idea bob definately seems like a saboteur or infiltrator at the installation, wether he was taking out an enemy faction or preventing or initiating an attack on earth i cant decide but its odd he should survive

The more I think about this, imo I think the Engineers home world won't be in ruins, possibly neglected by time. I think the entire society will be asleep. There will have been some event that has caused most of its society to go to sleep until a juggernaut returns with the results they wanted from their genetic tampering. So when Shaw arrives, it will be to only a few caretakers awaiting the arrival of aomething and they may suspect that she is the answer. As for any animosity to Shaw, I don't think the engineer who chased her knew that she had given birth. If the Engineers worship the Deacon as a God, then what does that make Shaw?

".. only a few caretakers awaiting the arrival of aomething .." This excerpt from of a recemt post reminded me of the scenes at the beginning of our movie. David was the caretaker watching over the sleeping crew members. When Shaw/Davisd arrive at the Engineer's homeworld and the 'Destination Threshold' announce ment is made get ready for a echo of our story.

The main ones in the Lovecraft/Cthulu mythos are the Elder Gods, Great Old Ones, and the Outer Gods. I doubt all of the Engineers bio-weaponry was made just to destroy humans.

the funny thing ab;out them having a ruined hoemwrold and war ravaged society is that they were presumably on their way to earth to kill us for being selfish war starting/finishing things(great description huh? haha) and they possibly had an outbreak of their own so called weapon and they are attacked and killed each other like i said with a most likely messed up homeworld. irony with a capital i for sure

Yes the irony would be quite thick if what you vision is part of the Pardise storyline. I keep getting hung up on the charactors that will be needed in the P2 and beyond. There is no way taht RS will go Star Wars' and keep introducing a new breed of charactors fro each installment. That would seem too cartoonish and disrespectful to Prometheus and fans. And just having an Robot and Shaw doing battling Engineers seems to barren and limited for major film release. There must be more human roles to balance out the Engineers and any zeno related activities. How with humans get to the next prequel? So the storyline must involve more humans involved with the Engineer world somehow leading to a connection to Alien. I sort of like the idea of making a stop at a human outpost before continuing(in a Juggernaut) to the next stop of the Engineer trail. AS far as how she will be recieved hostle comes to mind until by her actions she wins over the Engineers and take on the higher/highest level of Creators, the ones who let loose the xenos in our fictional world.

Maybe there will be new human characters already in paradise. I am not sure right now how to go about explaining the reason(s) they would be there right now but it seems like shaw could be in for a pleasant suprise to see familiar looking creatures. Although David probably wont haha;) But seriously this idea is growing on me. it could make for a intersting twist or two. also, the possibility of the deacon ending up there would allow it more victims

This is a curious option for Paradise. When the Engineers visited earth would they not want tobring home evidence of thenhuman experiment? Depending when the last visit occurred could there be humans, like in Close Encounters.." that wanted to visit other worlds and give up willingly their earth life for an adventure of lifetime and visit inter steller travel? It is all speculation and I would assume RS has mapped out the next one(or two) storylines in brioad strokes at least. Practical scenes must include humens in falashbacks at least. However, cuponator3000, if he needs script ideas RS could,just stop in here for suggestions.

That is a very plausable scenario Indy John, at least to ponder it if not to actually execute it on film but as with the Close Encounters connection also it immediately springs to mind Cocoon and Cocoon: The Return when we see all of the older folks aboard the spacecraft fly off into what looks like the Orion Nebula, or some type of nebula, then they all return in the sequel. It makes you wonder as is the case for the returnees in Cloes Encounters: what wonders or terrors did they see during their voyage out and returning to Earth again? Makes you wonder, and so it makes you wonder about the Engineers and if they had the chossen few from earth to go along with them - the deciples you could say. This is a great idea! In some ways it could work, it would have to be cleverly done though, thats all.

Let me take another crack at this thread. I think initialy that Shaw and david will be well recieved in 'Paradise' Th next level of Gors' have been using the Engineers to do all the manual work for them. The Engineers act like Robots on steroids. The Engineers operaste with not regard for personal protection. They act as they were created to do certtain tasks, skillfully, but without any personal conviction. They act like they have no soul. In Shaw's case she is a thinking human and can match wits with Engineers. She lured the Engineer in the shuttle back to where the creepy face hugger was ready to do business and had no qualms to let the two duke it out. Shaw showed some independant thinking. The Engineers and Humans may be related but an thinking entiry should have an upper edge in facinfg ner situations. In any case adding some human charactoriastixcs to the enginers'physical attibute would a step up in evolution. Heck mix in a few xeno traits and you would have real threas/savior of the Universe.
