MemberOvomorphOctober 14, 2012When you watch the text at the beginning of Prometheus after the finding of the cave paintings on the Ile of the Skye in Scotland they give the distance in units of kilometers. Then if you take the speed of light and do the conversions you get that the distance to zeta II reticuli, at this point an undisclosed location, is 34.6 light years and it is 2.6 years approx. later so to have arrived at this distance would require they are traveling at over 15 X the speed of light or in Star trek terms greater than warp 15! If only we as the human race could actually achieve the technology to move that fast, we would be living in a world with many more possibilities. So for now let us join in suspending our disbelief and hope that someday the laws of physics will allow us to accomplish this ability and let us also hope that we can overcome our petty differences so that we may combine our best minds and work in unison toward this goal.
