MemberOvomorphMay 12, 2012I discovered it using rational thought and logic and I think I will be vindicated when the movie comes out. The wiggle worm seen entering Holloway's eye in the trailer is actually a aggressive baby 'Hammerpede'. They are also seen at a different stage of growth on top of the amplule moving about that David discovers. Any thoughts?

I think the wormy thing is some kind of parasite that comes from the Hammerpede when it infects someone... Holloway somehow gets infected with the worm/s and then makes out with Shaw in the bedroom. The worm then infects the embryo in Shaw and later becomes the creature that is operated out of her.

@Spartacus: I'm sure this is going to be a great film and all but I hardly think this is going to challenge every single persons view on the world (me included), especially religious people.
It is just a movie made by a guy with some great ideas but it is not supposed to be taken seriously at all... Just like the Da Vinci Code.

I'd be astonished to learn how this, in any way, qualifies as an example of, "rational thought and logic".

@ spartucus
you right..their is a storm coming and I am putting out the sails....I wanne ride on this....about high time somebody did something that will challenge the way people think and feel about the world and religion and our general nature....even poor Harry Potter suffered...not to mention "the golden compass".....can u imagine the outcry Prometheus might cause!

I have warned people...everyone here about something from the start but no one wanted to listen to me...this film...is going to challenge every single belief every one of us who sees it had about religion, and mankind's origins and what religion, says about mankind's origins..I will NOT discuss that...I'm just telling you all to be ready for the storm that is coming.
And that's not even counting the "Religious Groups" the world over that are going to be in a major dust storm themselves putting it mildly the day they all see this as well !!!

with things like this that never stops them, don't make me post recent examples. There was a film about Christ I recall not to long ago that sent them all into a Crazy Crying Game...no...?...

@Shaw's_sweet_baby
I did not say every person in the world...I said "every single person who sees it"... and that religious groups the world over are going to be in an uproar over it.

I think I have a cigar, half a bottle of bourbon and a personality that people can't handle. I've been drinking heavily at a party. So please, excuse me.
I think you have a solid theory. I think it's all about DNA and how it can be adapted to different situations. A lot of people have theorized that the Derelict is an organic ship. The Engineers are EXACTLY that, Engineers of Life. They can do whatever they need to to create life, no matter what form it takes, no matter what they need it to do. The "stages" can be adapted at any time for any specific purpose. So the original Alien may have been perfectly adapted for use as a weapon against us, humans, because that was what the Engineers wanted. To destroy US as a species, because we attempt to take from them their God-like (and I use the term God loosely, we can define anything as a God if we believe in it strongly enough) SCIENCE.

In that thread that BH posted, titled "Disgusting Spoiler", where we see something coming out of the man's mouth and spews onto another crew member, it spews right onto Holloway and knocks him back to the ground and in one of the trailers, we see Shaw run over to him and say to the crew we are leaving, we see Holloway's eyes red and his head all messed up, I believe that is how he gets infected by running over to help Milburn and kneels down to help and BAM, right in the face and infected.

I do not, the way the thing that enters his eye, i'd say with almost 100% certainty {and if you look properly, just as it enters his eye it bends in a way that is remarkably identical to A "Murderous Thief"} that what that wiggly wiggly thing actual is...well...quite obvious...quite clear...and quite definitely the actual Predecessor to the XENOMORPH. It later becomes the fishtail thing we see, as well as it is what melts the helmet, it's the same organism we see in every shot, it is growing just like the Xeno did, but each different thing it infects or ever has infected changes it in whatever way...i'd say it's time to admit it, RS has in fact lied over and over and over to the press to protect the integrity of his baby and this story and there was NO way on earth he wasn't going to explore the origins of that thing, he would have had to have been nutz, you cannot pass up a one in 33+ year chance to go right back there, and with a Major twist, never seeing it again the same way, but rather seeing how it "became". To me that is pure Genius !!!

Holloway loses his humanity..by first getting infected by whatever is spewed out of the mouth of Milburn. Being infected Holloway claims he is okay but actually is not, sleeps with Shaw, gives her a gift, while he himself is changing and in the end Shaw is forced to kill him, as we see the large, Engineer looking shadow looming over her in the ship, which I believe is Holloway, he is no longer himself, loss of humanity, now an alien....

@Shilliam ...
I think we can take the word SPOILER out of your thread title as there's no SOLID proof on your theory ;) ... and with all due respect ... rational thought & theory do not qualify as solid proof ;) ... we all have that here as we do NOT know anything about it and it's all speculation until we see the movie ... but we all love peoples sugestions ... it's what make this a great place to be ... :) ...
I just don't want too many unnecessary 'Spoiler' marks in thread headers to confuse people ... ;)
Good theory though :) ...
I thought Holloways 'worm' came from water that dripped form the ceiling and so into his eye, no? ...
May 12, 2012
@Spartacus: Well duh... Of cause it could only affect someone who sees it. How else could it? I never said every person in THE WORLD either I just said every single person's view on the world.
And yes some will probably be furious about it but not because it will challenge their religion in any way... Only true science can do that.
May 12, 2012
it's all too similar... every death in this film we've seen so far, to death by Xenomorph, to be anything else at all...and that's my story and I'm stickin' with it. Have since the get go.

Does everyone still believe the Proto-xeno crap????? Is it impossible for everyone to believe that this is a new creature???? I for one will be completely disappointed to have some unneeded proto stage thrown into the mix. It seems pretty obvious to me that the xeno's have been around for a while.
I may work for the company, but im really an OK guy.
