MemberOvomorphMay 12, 2012I discovered it using rational thought and logic and I think I will be vindicated when the movie comes out. The wiggle worm seen entering Holloway's eye in the trailer is actually a aggressive baby 'Hammerpede'. They are also seen at a different stage of growth on top of the amplule moving about that David discovers. Any thoughts?

I think the hammerpede is actually a reference to the rolling Juggernaut after it has crashed with the Prometheus.

@ Spartucus
i think i know which film you referring to....oh gosh religion is a tough topic....my best friend is very religious and we always stray clear of these topics.....cause we fight so badly that we don't speak for months....so i have plenty of religious people in my life....I am watching Prometheus with him...i wonder how his gonna view the movie....tho I have to say he is loving the trailers and even tho i explained that the movie might not entertain his religious beliefs...he seems very keen to watch it....I told him...remember it's sci-fi...anything goes...lol

Could very well be. It is certainly the begining of the life cycle of what will eventually become son or daughter of xeno!

....it's all about keeping an open mind....and tolerance......something we all need to exercise and also not necessarily an easy task!

i want only for all of us to get along and not to be divided in it...in any way at all but I fear that technology in, and the world today makes it quite easy for anyone to make their views known, no matter how different or radical they are and Ridley himself has stated this project involves some very provocative ideas, so I expect it, I would hope it did not happen but rather that we all could have rational and intelligent and respectful discussions with each other the world over about it's subject matter, but then I would have to be naive to think in todays' world that were even possible.

I have warned people...everyone here about something from the start but no one wanted to listen to me...this film...is going to challenge every single belief every one of us who sees it had about religion, and mankind's origins and what religion, says about mankind's origins..I will NOT discuss that...I'm just telling you all to be ready for the storm that is coming.
And that's not even counting the "Religious Groups" the world over that are going to be in a major dust storm themselves putting it mildly the day they all see this as well !!!

I agree with you Spartacus..

and that's "pretty smart"{spoken like Amanda Plummer in Pulp Fiction} @Juxtapose... because just in our 1 on 1 dealings with each other compromise and tolerance are such very important things like in a marriage.

...yeah...oh sparky....we would make such a fine couple...pity u straight....lol....
...all yokes aside.....in the absence of tolerance....I mean if we all tolerated one another.....such a boring world it would be!....I am sounding like Confucius....must be the alcohol...;)....and how very far we have straight from the topic...oh yes it was about the worm in Holloway's eye....hmmm?...wtf is that thing?

@genjitsu17
The image of the parasite in Holloway's eye bears a very strong resemblance to the first stage of the Alien lifecycle conceptualized by Giger in 197X. In Giger's famous illustration, the entire lifecycle of the creature is realized in relation to "humanoid" hosts (wearing strange, schnozzled masks).
I think this is why people see this scene as evidence that a "proto" phase Alien appears in Prometheus.
As the Alien appears to incorporate the DNA of it's host into it's next phase (alien/dog in A3) I'd guess that Prometheus will rationalize why the 1979 Alien was bipedal, had 2 arms, and fingers, but certainly did not look like a man in a rubber suit ;-)

There are some major major peices of that puzzle missing....
When Holloway is seen with the worm thing in his eye, he is looking into the mirror and i would assume he notices this after he and Shaw do some business in bed aboard the Prometheus....
Does he get effected first?
I have noticed a few things you see....
Vickers is wearing her grey corp suit in the breifing room scene and then maybe Vickers room when she tells Shaw and Holloway they just bring samples back and if they find beings down there they do not talk or engage them. She is wearing the same suit when her David, Shaw and Ford are examining the Exploding Jockey Head.
I would say Holloway gets the infection between those scenes, and when he takes off his helmet. But he does not know about his infection.
I say this because we see Vickers in latter Scene say if your going down their you will die and she is wearing a black all in one like what 7 of 9 wears in ST Voyager.
Now apart from the eye in mirror scene the other ones we see of Holloway are....
A Scene where he apears to be in pain and has something running though his veins...
This leads to the scene when he is on the floor with sore/glazzed eyes etc..
We then see him being held up by Shaw and Ford and he holds his head in pain and collapses.
Then we see him again, grey and swollen with his hands up trying to say he is ok..... this is where Vickers has the Flammer and tells everyone to get back on the ship.
So does Holloway get onboard, and then gets better but then notices the worm in the eye?
Or does he have that in his eye after a first mission down (recover the Urn and Jockey Head) and on his 2nd visit thats when we see his infection get worse?
The first exploration aported early maybe due to the dust storm etc....
As far as Milburn Mouthburster well Fifield was the one behind him when he went to pick up the Cobraxeno, in the Hollomap F and M are together what looks on their own.
I would say Milburns Face Burster jumps at or sprays something on Fifields mask and then we see his mask melt.

If the recent Twitter spoiler that has been going around lately from someone in the UK who claims to have seen the advance movie screening in the uK and later was interviewed by another tweeter....She stated that there is only one-lone "Bald Being" (Engineer) who was "Infected" and that the other "Engineers" were only shown through "flashback" sequence of the film...She stated that the "Bald Beings" (Engineers) attempted to replicate the "Being" that they worshipped, but their attempts failed and all went awry.( oviously each one of the Engineers got infected & died by their own creation,...If this woman who claimed to have seen the movie in the UK early is true, then I believe the "being" that the Engineers worhsipped and tried to replicate is the Xenomorph" Alien from the Original movie....Because in the 2nd trailer, there is a scene where there is an Image or Mural of the Xenomorph on the wall inside the Engineer's Temple...Why would that be there ? Only because I believe that is what the Engineers worshipped...They worshipped their "Perfect creation", and TRIED to "replicate", but instead all went awry as she had stated on that spoiler tweet
