MemberOvomorphMar-20-2012 10:12 PMI'm guessing it's David or the other synthetic Ridley said might be in the film. Possibly a synthetic made by the Yutani corporation sent to spy or sabotage. The idea of a bio morphed synthetic ties in with the biomechanical look and feel of the SJ and did anyone notice in the trailer how the chair attaches itself the SJ? I think the SJ once seated becomes part of the ship.

MemberOvomorphMar-20-2012 10:29 PMthe Figure we see at the beginning of the newly released full trailer is an Engineer or Space Jockey race...according to some movie theorists, are the ones who created all species and planets by terraforming....I really do believe that this alien figure has been affected by some type of unknown alien infection...It's puzzling, because we only see parts of the movie...But the Engineer's hand and arm looks to be infected with the same black veins as the character Holloway, who we can see is painfully changing into some alien species (in the trailer), while he is wearing his helmet...I cannot piece it together though...If the space jockey is getting affected, and then some of the humans are getting affected, then why is the Space jockey threatening to fly the derelict ship toward earth ?...Is he that pissed that the Humans stole some of the important 'Urns' containing DNA of all created life forms ?? (The Greek god Zeus punished Prometheus for stealing "Fire" from him to give to mankind)...Weland industries most likely wants the urns returned to Earth. OR has one Space Jockey gone "Rogue" because the "King's reign ended, because he died"

MemberOvomorphMar-20-2012 10:35 PMIT'S OBVIOUS THAT AFTER THIS NEW ALIEN INFECTION AFFECTS HOLLOWAY, AND OTHERS, THAT THEIR DNA IS MUTATING INTO A NEW ALIEN SPECIES....WATCHING THE NEW FULL EUROPEAN TRAILER CLOSELY, THERE IS A CLOSE UP OF A WORM LOOKING ALIEN PENETRATING ONE OFG THE CHARACTERS ARMORED LEFT ARM....REMINDS ME OF THE MOVIE "SLITHER", WHERE WORMLIKE ALIEN SPECIES SPREAD AND CRAWLS INTO THEIR BODIES AND INFECT THE HUMANS, THUS CHANGING THEM INTO ALIEN CREATURES THROUGH MUTATION.

MemberOvomorphMar-21-2012 3:23 AMI think it probaly is David and I think it's right at the end of the film.

MemberOvomorphMar-21-2012 12:38 PMThink it might be David, right at the end of the film, not the start. A good jump-off for the sequal to the prequal (not).

MemberOvomorphMar-23-2012 5:12 PMSomebody has to explain the saucer shape ship on top of water fall. When the albino guy looking at his hand the saucer is not in the scene any more. Could it be SJ drop the first human on earth then leave?
May be this scene not related with moon or planet that Prometheus ship has landed.

MemberOvomorphMar-23-2012 11:18 PMOne thing Ridley has confirmed is that the beginning of the film will take place at the waterfall in Iceland! I think we will see the creation of Earth, and the bald guy is the first human created by the engineers and is being brought to life before our eyes. I doubt he has anything more to do with the film than introduce the idea that humans were created by an alien race. This film is about the search for our beginning.

MemberOvomorphApr-23-2012 10:15 PMIt's been discussed that perhaps the being seen at the waterfall near the start of the trailer was a human being formed by the 'Jocks intervention on early Earth and not a mutating Prometheus crew member (as most of us appear to assume).
If so, this would (appear) to put the scene into correct timeline with the rest of the trailer.
But is it possible that we are seeing a mutaing 'Jock, who has become contaminated/infected by some terrestrial bug while terraforming Earth?
The "King(s)" may have indeed had their reign and all but died out, with those survivors keen to re-establish their race using whatever genetic material they may encounter? Their inital "invitation" may have become a hostile welcome if things turned ugly for them.
Perhaps the idea is a little too "War of the Worlds" (the Martian invaders succumbing to simple Earthly microbes) but only time will tell.
