MemberOvomorphFeb-25-2012 6:56 PMThe geek in me was thinking, would love a new ringtone while waiting for Prometheus. I would love to have the scream/alert from the Alien trailer (that occurs after the egg cracks) I'm not very tech. savvy, anyone know how to take a sample and make it into a ringtone or make one and have some sort of downloadable link? I love that music from the Alien trailer (even more than the mix that's in the Prometheus trailer) it's so creepy.

Co-AdminMemberOvomorphFeb-25-2012 9:25 PMI have an editing suite I could do it on, but my computer is getting repaired right now. Soon as I get it back I can do one up, and it will work on Iphone or Android :-D Unless RC8 beats me to it :-P

Was a complete accident, but my cat got a stern glaring at I can tell you. Little arsehole just looked at me like "well it isn't MY fault you put it where I wanted to be....."
Anyone got any ideas on how to get revenge on a cat? Besides a spray bottle? :-P

First, view it in HD. Then once the video is finished, assuming you're using Internet Explorer, open the Tools tab, then go to Internet options, click on the Settings button in the Browsing history section, then click on View files.....then try to find the file; it should be an .MP4 file or something, but if you're having trouble finding it, arrange the items to display "Last accessed". Once you locate the file, just copy-paste it to, say, your desktop.
Once you have the file, use some sound-editing program (like WavePad) to acquire the sound.......but as for how to save it as a ringtone, that's beyond me, for I don't have such a cell-phone, and thus I don't have the know-how on how to make ringtones.
Oh, and sorry if the siren/whatever sound isn't accompanied without the wind at the end; I got the sound from one of those many Alien trailers, specifically the one where the egg cracks with light that doesn't flicker as we're familiar with, and the sound plays at the end......
...but it never occurred to me to do something about that windy noise when I was working on my video. This was, I think, back in December. So, basically, sorry if the sound isn't perfect.
