MemberOvomorph12/26/2011This is a topic I've not really put any thought to before; is Fassbender good or bad? Up untill now I have just assumed he's a 'good guy', but I presume that feeling has stemmed from my affinity to the actor. I think we can all agree Fassbender is a likeable chap.
Any thoughts?

MemberOvomorph12/26/2011I've always seen the character of David of the Prometheus equivalent of Ash in the original Alien. Not sure why. Probably because the androids In the series have usually turned out to be company drones. But wasn't there a rumour of 2 androids in Prometheus? We usually only have 1 so I wonder if saving 2 is significant to the plot? David certainly appears to be a hugely important character in the film from what we have seen so far.

MemberOvomorph12/26/2011Maybe the humans turn on innocent androids and do unspeakable things to them setting up Ash's distaste for humanity.

Well that would imply that David's memories are accessible by Ash and/or other androids or a central computer, at a later date.

MemberOvomorph12/26/2011The actor has an elegant figure. Would the casting crew choose this face to trick us? Could be another "malfunctioning Ash" android or a "trustworthy Bishop".
The story so far: Ash="bad", Bishop="good", Cole="good"... Mathematically is 1 out of 3 to be bad.
In my humble opinion, we will never know until we watch the movie and as has said: I like implications. : )

MemberOvomorph12/26/2011Let me add to the above: its not an "Alien" movie so I shouldn't use the "good" & "bad" analogy, neither refer to the the Alien franchise.
PS: CAN'T WAIT TO WATCH IT!!!

MemberOvomorph12/26/2011if ash was crazy like that, think of the flaws of its predecessor.

MemberOvomorph12/26/2011what i fear is that putting there an android and the "company suit" will be very hard to avoid cliches ....
