MemberTrilobiteApr-06-2017 11:01 PMSomething Real No. I just haven't seen cool and positive exchanges like this for a while.

MemberTrilobiteApr-06-2017 11:04 PMDK - Oh! Hahaha! I understand. Forgive my misunderstanding. Do not worry; I will not engage in negative interactions if I am capable of avoiding them. I greatly prefer friendly discourse; it is most agreeable. :)

MemberPraetorianApr-06-2017 11:05 PMJust finished ALIEN: Endymion (3rd Interval) and I VERY much enjoyed this story!!!
...and I admit I am hoping for more. :) BUT, that is NOT meant to be 'pressure' merely a statement of appreciation from desire for more. :)

MemberTrilobiteApr-06-2017 11:15 PMBLACKWINTER-WITCH - Your expression of enjoyment for the story I presented is extremely valuable to me - and the reason why I write and tell stories. I have considered creating another chapter; however, I was not certain if anyone would be interested. Perhaps in the near future I will do so as a result of your interest. Regardles, I thank you humbly for your kind words. :)

I've read the first interval of Endymion and will read the rest later tonight. Wow you have really captured the gritty pragmatic attitude of the Alienverse, well done. I look forward to reading the next interval.

MemberPraetorianApr-06-2017 11:39 PMI'm glad that my thoughts on your work brightened your day! As to your future works, as-and-when the Muse and mood come and lend inspiration...that's how writers and writing works, yes?
Thank-you again for the very enjoyable trip to the ALIENverse and you are quite welcome! :)
Endymion and Dark Horizon I think you'll agree are both really good works and the respective authors genuinely capture the 'feel' of the ALIENverse!!

MemberTrilobiteApr-06-2017 11:44 PMBLACKWINTER-WITCH - Hahaha! Indeed. My muse is a fickle and often capricious creature. However, the fact that it helps to bring enjoyment to others is reason enough for me to continuing putting up with its unending knavery. :)

MemberPraetorianApr-07-2017 12:03 AMOh, so is mine!! The Muse is a VERY whimsical beastie!! I know such well! I also put up with mine, for the same reasons. :)

MemberPraetorianApr-07-2017 12:09 AM:D TY! I will say, working with one's Muse is a LOT easier when editting, it doesn't need to be 'On' all the time, so it gets to be lazy :D

MemberTrilobiteApr-07-2017 12:14 AMBLACKWINTER-WITCH - Hahaha! What a very interesting analysis! I am sometimes tickled by this image of some otherworldly being hovering over me while I attempt to rest in the night - taking every bloody chance it can get addle my thoughts with interesting ideas in order to keep me from sleeping. If Muses are in fact real (which I believe they are) I hope they know their artists put up with quite a lot from them! :)

MemberPraetorianApr-07-2017 12:44 AMI've always imagined mine as a cat...as we have 9 of them, that's likely not a surprise. :) Also, if you think about, the Muse often acts in a rather feline manner...

MemberPraetorianApr-07-2017 1:28 AMI just saw the post of your story-piece, part 3 I believe. I like it! Could you combine the pieces into a single post, maybe? It'd give your work new and better exposure while also making it easier for people to read it in it's entirety. :)

MemberPraetorianApr-07-2017 1:31 AMYou have all done such a great job writing your respective works. All of the stories i read from this thread have been brilliant. Very inspiring!!! Hope others are taking notice too ;)

MemberTrilobiteApr-07-2017 1:33 AMIRAPTUS - Indeed! There is a frightful dearth of creative writing these days. We need more in order to keep The Nothing at bay! :)

MemberPraetorianApr-07-2017 1:44 AMThank-you from myself, I hope others are taking note and encouragement also! The stories I have been enjoying here show definite talent I hope the respective authors cultivate to full potential.
...and I agree completely with SR on the lack of Originality these days. I for one dislike the 'formulaic' approach so many are taking now, and turn to classic sci-fi as my Core and the ALIENverse as my Passion. :)

MemberPraetorianApr-07-2017 1:46 AMI have been thinking about an idea id like to explore but i need your advice.
I love the Runner alien and would like to explore that mutation, but the story i have in mind requires a group returning to Fury 161. The idea would only quickly return to the surface and main areas seen in Alien 3 but then explore deeper into the old prison further into the facility. At its peak the correctional facility held 5000 prisoner so there must be a HUGE part of the facility not yet seen. My concern is that FOX seems intent on deleting A3 and Resurrection as canon or their existence altogether. Would you guys like to see a return to Fury or should i look at a deep space Prison ship instead.
Basically my idea revolves around egg-morphing, exploring a xeno hierarchy between Drones/warriors and Runners and a small opportunistic Earth joint venture between two Earth Governments trying to compete with the monopoly held by W-Y....and ultimately failing.
What do you guys reckon??

MemberTrilobiteApr-07-2017 1:50 AMBLACKWINTER-WITCH - You are most welcome. However, you need not thank me for anything. The fact that you enjoyed my work and stated as much is thanks enough. :)
Something Real
MemberTrilobiteApr-07-2017 1:52 AMIRAPTUS - That would be a quite compelling story! I happen to think the Runner alien was a very interesting and monstrous creature - perfect for a frightening tale! Hmm...perhaps hinting that the original runner had somehow captured and "Egg-Morphed" the doctor whom had a tryst with Ripley could be in order? :)

MemberPraetorianApr-07-2017 1:56 AMThe elements you have Work, You've got a good idea there! I like the Diane Fossey sorta-kinda idea of studying the interaction and hierarchy of Drones and Runners.
LOVE the bring-back of egg-morphing!!!
Fox might well do that, they are busily cleaning up the mess the franchise has become, however your story could be set in the 'Legends' equivalent of the ALIENverse, as Star Wars has been seperated into Canon and Legends.

MemberPraetorianApr-07-2017 1:59 AMWell, I appreciate that, but still a little courtesy to a fellow writer is never out of place, right? :)
Oh, just thought of something about ALIEN 3... the Runner also snatched the Warden...so there could well be a Runner or a couple of Runner eggs down there....waiting. ;)

MemberTrilobiteApr-07-2017 2:02 AMBLACKWINTER-WITCH - You are correct; it is not out of place. You have my appreciation as well. As for IRAPTUS's story idea: you are quite right. The warden did get snatched! There very well could be a whole bloody mess of Runners waiting in Fury's prison confines! :)

MemberPraetorianApr-07-2017 2:22 AMThen all is good. :)
Well, he wants to bring egg-morphing back in, and even with a Queen, there's still a lack of humans to host chestbursters...but say there's One, and it's been alone for a long time, and now some Hosts come along, well, it's been denied a chance to fulfil it's biological imperative (egg-morphing) and capturing a host for it's egg. I would expect it to be VERY cunning and the like along with using it's incredible speed. It would be fully matured, and has had time to become absolutely familiar with ever inch of it's domain.

MemberTrilobiteApr-07-2017 2:26 AMBLACKWINTER-WITCH - Let us consider the creature, itself, shall we? If the warden and doctor were both captured, perhaps they were both used - at the same time. Could you imagine a slightly-deformed, two-headed Runner - a creation from the merger of two people? How ghastly a thing that would be! :)
