I was trying to figure out what was on those sheets in the background! Good eye, it certainly could be! Remember, there was talk of a Trilobite being on-set months ago, so there might be more Hammerpedes as well!

Great work, dude! This looks to be what you are saying. Should look into what role they will play in the new film. But, if it is not a hamerpede, the only thing I think it could be is a chestburster.

If you pay attention you will notice the head construction and there is even an illustration of that head left from "hamerpade illustration". The back of the head is made from grey plasticine and front is red.

I heard that we are going to see creature superior to Engineers. All things we saw in ampule room (mural, relief, altar, emerald crystal...) are not random. I have a confirmation of this! Maybe we shall see some explanations after all.

You're right, the events and materials discovered in Prometheus were not random, nor a coincidence. As for beings superior to Engineers, I recall hearing that as well. It will be very exciting to see what else gets revealed as we lead up to the first trailer!

Its not NUMI! :) Carved word is NOB (from Noble) synonym word is dignitary !!!! Before the word there is a number 1. I leave to your imagination the meaning behind this name. :)

Yeah, I saw elsewhere, the other day, that someone pointed out that could be a Hammerpede image in the background ... therefore if it is the red sculpture may well be of that Hammerpede itself then ... or something else entirely ...

Hopefully, I never really understood the Hammerpede at all except for that it might explain the goo. What was the purpose of it? Is it related to the Xeno? Is it a monster that the Engineers play a role in when it comes to its creation and how? What I do remember about it is that it is connected to the foolish things that Fifield and Milburn did (duh!). Unfortunately there is a cut scene at Youtube that would have made that scene make so much more sense but they left it out, that was really dumb.

Chris Picard: It would be really interesting to see another Trilobite in Alien Covenant. The Trilobite was one of the good things about Prometheus. You wrote that what happened in Prometheus was no coincidence well I think that they need to explain things better in Alien Covenant that also have ties to Prometheus because a lot of things didn’t make sense in Prometheus.

Hammerpedes were just an example of what the black goo is capable of doing.I assume that the black goo contains xenomorph dna because the hammerpedes got acid for blood and possess great strenght,and have very quick regeneration(Ik xeno's don't have regeneration) I wonder if Deacon can regenerate too.

About the Fifield,some guy from the making of Prometheus said that whatever happened to the engineer's head that they found in the pyramid (it exploded) will happen to Fifield at some point,he is losing himself to an alien within him.

Soo Fifield was an example of what would happen to us if the engineers released the black goo 2000 years ago if they didn't lost control of it.

I hope that we might get to see the black goo in Alien covenant,if yes then we might also see more hammerpedes and other black goo creatures like in comic books fire and stone rather than just xeno's jumping around killing people.

Im wondering if David when he came to the engineer planet infected some engineer with the black goo because he wanted to see what would happen and started the whole chaos.

(If he managed to trick them like he did with Holloway)

Dark Nebula: That is interesting but don't you think that the Engineers would be more cautious about the Goo since they probably more aware about it and what it can do?

Well they had an outbreak or release during the final stages of weaponization, those canisters look like flat nose projectiles that they could deliver to a planet while in orbit. They made the perfect weapon too perfect and they lost the heads over the deal. :)

What if its not a hammerpede but a king cobra that was infected?

Is this the case who knows.... maybe the Worms are not indigenous to LV-223 but they got there via Engineers from Paradise?

Maybe David decides to take some from LV-223 before he sets off?

We just dont know what connection that image has but it does look similar... but we also dont understand what the Black Goo is.... could it be made from Worms? or is there some Organism related?

Remember Holloways Eye Worm?  What if the Goo in the Urns that David had on his finger is not Goo but a collection of micro organisms, nano worms.. thus its the same as Spaights Nano Scarabs....

But how can Nano Worms be like a Goo.. well Sperm are like mini Hammerpedes are they not? But Sperm looks like a Goo too.

Maybe the Goo contains a Parasite that can then grow.. like Holloways Eye worm and this is what we see in that image?
