Official : Prometheus 2 is the next Ridley Scott movie !!!

I really don't care what happens next. It's gonna be great.  Ridley is my only hope for good sci fi. Bring it!!!!!

So there is a good chance that filming starts from the beginning of the next year.
The script is finished, Scott has already started pre-production, Noomi Rapace and Fassbender are available at this period ..

Fox will soon announce a release date!

I heard the filming will start in Hungary,I don't know for other locations.

great news of course...ridley rushing things though eeekkk...will be watching the martian of course hope thats a return to form and of course prometheus 2. But still a bit of a wait but hopfully news comes in as it starts of course...please please make sense this time and patch up part 1 fingers tightly crossed...

This is good news, and i am sure when The Martian is out World Wide then Ridley would be more open to spilling the beans a little but then i dont expect he would be giving to much information away.

Be interesting to figure out what kinds of Locations he is looking at, and these could give away some clues as to what we are going to see.... We pretty much know so little of this movie and what kind of Locations would be needed to suit certain elements of the movie.

Are we going to see some Scenes from Earth? These could be Company HQ or Flash Backs we cant be sure but i dont think we would be seeing a Hell on Earth but who knows.

Would we be returning to LV 223, or even its neighbour LV 426? Who knows but i doubt it as far as LV 426 as the movie could be wanting to steer away from Alien.

Could we see some settings on Mars?  Or a Space Station?  Again we cant be sure..

The only things we 100% can be sure of is that we would most likely be seeing interior Shots of a Juggernaught and so maybe Pinewood Studios would be used for that.

And David and Shaw are going to find some World related to our Engineers and meet beings that are involved with the Engineers Agenda the Hierarchy on Paradise!  But as far as if Paradise is a Paradise visually or if its a very dark place we cant be sure but the more information and shooting locations confirmed could give us some clues....  Paradise is described as being more like a Hell but that in no means tells us that the place would be a Horrid Dark, War Torn Place.. it could look like Paradise but then the inhabitants could not be very friendly..

Excited now and i think come about November we could finally be seeing and hearing more clues officially regarding the movie as opposed to the odd comment by Ridley that we have had over the last 3 years about the sequel.

I wonder about schedule of Michael Fassbender. He is about to finish principal photography for X-Men: Apocalypse in the upcoming days, but most probably will start with Assassin's Creed immediately after. How much time will he spent over there (Malta, London...?)? Fingers crossed for January... :-)

X-Men Shooting is Finished, and his Schedule is free about Christmass time... Shooting on a movie depending how many scenes the Actor is in takes anything from 2 weeks to 12 weeks usually...   and we dont know for sure if some Scenes had been shot already be that during the finish of shooting Prometheus or  after when a break in Schedules allowed.

But certainly Main Shooting for January 2016 would be a time that Fassbender would be freed up, i think the main reasons for Prometheus delay could had been his Schedule to be fair.

Agreed. Fassbender is now five times bigger than he was in 2012. That is the fact. :-)

Wow that would make him 9.15 meters tall he could play an engineer without special effects :O .

Big things have small beginings... thats what David said lol

So yeah 5X Bigger would make him kind of the size they Originally wanted to portray the Space Jockey in Alien (26-27ft tall)
