But again when life is under threat and you can not break free then biting is a survival instinct more than a tactical decision.

Even if that was the case of being tactical, i guess if a Person was attacked by another who they knew was infected with say Ebola or HIV, or even lets go as far as are a Zombie. And they are held down and will be bitten by the attacker, i think in that situation a person could choose maybe biting as a way of escaping... But be like if they knew someone with Ebola and HIV was not only trying to bite them but say kill them with a knife... i.e they know their life is in danger and that while there is a risk in biting, if they do not do so they would know they would die because they are being attacked by a killer and are out muscled.

When David says 36 hours and 15 minutes this not a mistate. David is refering to the rotational hours of the planet Threshold and this would be proof. We know that as they 
go down the terrain is much larger than on earth hence the larger circumfrence of the 
planets surface. 

Also because there are another 12 hours of circumfentational rotaion would not add
that much more gravity to the surface of the planet.

There are some movie web sites that state that Spaihts said the 36 hours was an intentional mistake to show that David could be twitchy in his programming like Ash.

A commonly cited “plot-hole” amongst Prometheus detractors is David 8’s “36 hours” moment…

When the crew reach the moon LV-223 and awake from their extended cryo-sleep, David responds to Meredith Vickers that they have been asleep for “2 years, 4 months, 18 days, 36 hours, 15 minutes.” A common complaint has been that if Michael Fassbender’s David is using established temporal units to measure time, then he should have said ”2 years, 4 months, 19 days, 12 hours and 15 minutes?”  Why 36 hours?

One of our keen Prometheus fans tweeted screenwriter Jon Spaihts to ask him and he just notified me about the response he received from Mr Spaihts. In it the screenwriter confirmed that this supposed “plot-hole” was deliberate stating “Robots have been showing off with this trick as long as there have been robots…” It’s likely that the line was included to show that David had some elements of  ‘twitchy programming’, rather like future android model Ash in Alien.

If anyone at all could confirm this it would be greatly appreciated and would give us difinitive cannon.
