MemberFacehuggerNov-01-2013 11:36 AM@ Necronom 4 , well spotted.
I get the feeling that as soon as Ridley said things were ready to go, he has suddenly unleashed a Pandora's box of media interest. I wonder how soon it will be before we see statements from Noomi as well. We already Michael and Noomi are definitely going to be in Paradise, but i also think it will be interesting to see who the media focuses on other than Ridley himself. Time to just wait and see I guess.
Given what Fassbender has now stated, I don't think he has seen a script yet. That's just my interpretation.

Community ExecutiveMemberOvomorphNov-01-2013 2:42 PMMichael Fassbender said the hold-up over the Prometheus sequel was because the parties involved were trying to do it "correctly".
After months of rumours, Ridley Scott has confirmed that a sequel to dazzling 2012 sci-fi ‘Prometheus’ is finally written.
“I thought I’d left science-fiction for too long, that I had better climb back in,” he told Empire. But for a movie that made over $400 million (£249 million) at the box office, and so clearly set itself up for a sequel, green-lighting a second outing should have been far more snappy by usual Hollywood standards.
It looks like there’s a reason for the slow start though – according to original star Michael Fassbender it’s because they’re making it “correctly”.
making it correctly... sigh

MemberOvomorphNov-01-2013 3:57 PMWhoa! Sounds like he wasn't satisfied with his first viewing of the movie. Or maybe hes just taking that from fans of Alien that were'nt that impress because of weird expectations.
The Anunnaki were on the earth in those days--and also afterward--when the sons of God went to the daughters of humans and had children by them. They were the heroes of old, mighty men of high reno

MemberOvomorphNov-01-2013 6:02 PMthe truth is that making the sequel **PARADISE** is not easy task, because of the environment should be hugh and bigger than first one PROMETHEUS, you can imagine it like a Big puzzle.

Well, that depends on the budget and the movie rating :p

MemberDeaconNov-02-2013 8:29 AMWell there is massive scope for the Franchise...
No soon as you revealed that there is a Giant Race of Engineers and hint that they are not the Gods and they may even have creators and the fact these Engineers seed life that way.
You open up a massive universe of possibilities as far as HOW MANY OTHER RACES.... have these Engineers and their Creators had a hand in creating..
I think also Ridley would go back to the drawing board as far as some aspects.. hence movie was his final cut and so we have to ignore how the deleted scenes portrayed out Engineers and Elders and also how the Elders appeared.
I am sure Ridley would take on board the criticism the movie got, some things i cant see him change... some may have been disappointed about hints the Space Jockey is a Humanoid in a Suit, but Ridley has always refereed to the Space Jockey as a Suit.
I think fans may be disappointed that these Engineers appeared to lack the Scale of the Space Jockey and indeed the Drafts Engineers.
I think many fans wants more answers to Alien but in a less confusing way, and while Ridley will steer away from Alien. I think some more clear references could be made.
i would rather see a movie that takes on board criticism and is taking time to get it RIGHT! than rush out to make money and maybe please fan boys etc...

MemberOvomorphNov-02-2013 9:08 AMSEE! They rushed it all to make money as quickly as possible.
OH MAN, I appreciate his honesty. F*cking greedy corporate bastards! Sometimes I wish was a xenomorph, you don\'t see them f*cking each other over for a goddamn percentage!
Pardon my French people.

MemberNeomorphNov-02-2013 2:00 PMYou're welcome @Gfacehug.
I'm wondering, now that the script is apparently finished, will Ridley or Fox get another writer in to do a re-write of Paglen's script? They did with PROMETHEUS.
The poster was good though!

MemberFacehuggerNov-02-2013 5:20 PMMan all this tells me is ridley is spreading himself too thin - his latest film is at 36 percent on rotten toms reviews. Im just amazed he can do all this at his age. I hope his brothers suicide hasn't done him too much damage. But all this is not great news. Just hope the script is great. I reckon he needs to slow down a bit. Or hopefully the reviewers are wrong :p
"It's almost as if they are making it up as they go along" :D

MemberOvomorphNov-02-2013 11:50 PMHe can let the actors take their characters in new directions, and even adapt the script as he goes along. The thing is to keep it real, wherever possible, and not get caught up in any buzz.

MemberOvomorphNov-03-2013 3:16 AMI think about David's dedication to whatever he does. I'd like him to have a mission, and beliefs, he can be almost passionate about. I think Shaw needs an ally, and all of us do, so I hope David is going to be on our side for real--that he can be a leader, and a help to us always.
