Custodian- they aren't stripping All Giger! (If they did we wouldn't have a Jockey to make a story about.) Also- all of the murals and easter eggs nod at Giger, and original life cycles. There is still hope.

Just about everything in Prometheus originates from Dan O'Bannon's Star Beast, ALIEN itself, or unused concepts from both & of course Giger! Without his creative genius the franchise old or new would be nothing! That's why any sequel/s will continue to extrapolate from his concepts. (I hope!)

The entire premise of Prometheus is based on Giger's beautiul Space Jockey creation. Every mural is Giger-inspired. (Especially the life-cycle ones) The Juggernaut.....Giger. The whole movie is a beautiful, Gigeresque nightmare. PS (thanks to a recent thread, i now know ) Giger's first piece ever was called "Alien Prometheus Astreunechin" Coincidence? Bahm...bahm.....baaahhhhhm.

FV, look at Prometheus in both set design and creature design, it's GIGIER-LITE or GIGER-MERCURIED. In that all the grunge and stink of a giger painting, all the 'realness' has been eviscerated from it. It's just set dressing now, not something that was 'extruded organically'. Xeno got neutered and will eventually be PUT DOWN in Pro~2, if it ever happens. Sorry, Giger never happened, Pro~ proves that. :(
