No I don't think Neo will be making a cameo because P2 and the matrix are two separate universes. Maybe he will in the next MATRIX film though?

If you're trying to explain something complicated, I think it's best to use something else as an analogy to articulate what you mean. In this case i'm using the matrix to explain what I mean. I personally think that Ridley (if he decides to make it) WILL want to explore the concept of heaven and hell in P2. It is possible that he will go down this matrixy route, just as possible as anybody elses idea's/concepts.

Purgatory: Place or state of temporary suffering. Place where souls undergo punishment for their sins before being admitted to heaven. Maybe the facehuggers put their victims into a state of purgatory/suffering, before the victim dies from the chestbursting? Remember when Kane awakes after the facehugger event, and he says that he had this horrible dream that he was drowning? Could this mean that, while he was in the coma like state, he temporerally woke up in paradise, in his cryo chamber, filled with liquid? Maybe, when Shaw and David get to paradise, they will find 1 or 2 characters from the Alien universe in cryo sleep. Maybe they will discover David Webb (Morse from Alien 3) Shaw might even find herself there.

Um...yeah. I am aware that it's just an analogy. I was being facetious about NEO...smart-assness is my default setting. What i mean is that you are reaching with this theory, and that IMO, none of this is even close to the mark, nor will we be seeing any element of anything resembling The Matrix, Purge, or any other "Virtual Reality" besides maybe a flashback or dream sequence. The dude was seeding life, not awakening himself. The creation process, through sacrifice, is a prevailing theme in the movie. Mind control is not. I agree that we may see a version of "Heaven or Hell"- Paradise being the representative of the former...maybe the latter too. I see now that 4 other Matrix type threads have opened up... Flash to me cleaning my rifle... Where we go from here; i leave that up to you...

I respect your opinion Fleshvessel! But none of us know what direction it will go in! That's the only thing that's for certain at this point! However, there is nothing wrong with speculating, and the matrix perspective is just as feasible as any other suggestion, idea, or whatever :-)

Here's a question: Do the Prometheus virals mean anything? Like the Weyland 2023 speech and Quite Eye? Do they have any relevance to the film or are they just a bit of fun? The reason that I ask is because, there was a viral of, I assume, an engineer saying something at the end of a phone line. Remind you of anything? At the end of the Matrix?

Dude. The pieces fit because you want them to. The audio of an Engineer speaking is taken directly from 'The Engineer Speaks.' So if the entire Alien franchise has taken place in VR, then who actually came to real Earth and Really made us? Are the xenos only present in this VR? The Nostromo only believed they were mining, when they were actually sound asleep? So every time Ripley 'wakes up' she's still sleeping. Come on! I'm sure I'm not the only guy who would hate this so much!! (Except maybe Ressurection being a nightmare!) I have invested 69 viewings and a lot of time speculating; if this happens, i'll take the red pill and wake up from this franchise forever. (And never look back)

@Fleshvessel. How do you know? Do you know something about the whole Prometheus universe and where it's gunna go? Please can you explain to me what that 'Engineer Speaks' is all about. Can you explain what it means please? If you don't know what it's all about, then what makes you so sure that i'm wrong? Have you speculated about it's meaning and created a comment on this site about it? Have you speculated about anything regarding Prometheus and created a comment on this site about it? I believe that you're so fast to dismiss it, for no other reason than you hate the idea buddy.

Yes, i have. Hundreds, in fact. When you post your opinion online, people will have a reaction to it. Did you not want any feedback on these ideas??? Simply put, don't whine when someone picks apart your theories. I have posted a ton that some people probably thought were ridiculous, that is what this site is for!! So you posted your 'Matrix' theory, and i posted my thoughts on it. I wasn't rude about it and neither were you. This is an example of exactly what should be happening here!! Every time someone says "well, what about this..." This is an opportunity for you to strengthen your case. Anyway, IN MY OPINION, you are way off, but like you said, i'm not privvy to any info you aren't, so that doesn't mean i'm right.

@Fleshvessel. Have I once said that I don't want your opinion on this subject? On an earlier post, I said that I respect your opinion, which I do! If somebody posts a reply to one of my topics showing that they don't agree with what i'm saying, fine, that's what we do here. But I also have a right to reply to that reply, yes? So I don't know what you mean? In my previous post I asked you a few questions, that's all. It seems that every post I make gets either a lot of negative replies and they have had since I started coming to this site, so don't think i'm not used to bad replies, I've had my fill of 'em bud! But I still keep coming back don't I? What does that say? Like I said earlier, I respect your opinion and the fact that you don't agree with me! Brilliant! Wonderful! But please try and be respectful about it. I really don't want to get into another argument bud! No one is being disrespectful. This thread is down to you and I anyway, and as long as cooler heads keep on prevailing, no need for anyone to be banned. We are just a couple guys having a friendly debate. Anyway, i'm just happy that you are posting!! It's good to have more activity on the site. I check every day for new threads, and this one certainly has been fun and interesting. It's all Gravy, my good man. No hostility here, i just love to get into it.
