Did you guys think that there were still sleeping SJ's in Cryo-Stasis aboard the ship that David and Shaw took? I always think that they're traveling through hyperspace and all the while a couple more Engineers are right there in the pilot room. Maybe there's one or two more resting inside another ship for 2,000 yrs still. I dont personally think that "all" the Engineers passed away but could have been more on the one Shaw and David took to Paradise. What do you guys think of this possibility?

The Anunnaki were on the earth in those days--and also afterward--when the sons of God went to the daughters of humans and had children by them. They were the heroes of old, mighty men of high reno

Would David/ Shaw knowingly take a Juggernaut that is filled with Engineers? Yea, I could see that as long as our crew takes measures to control his destructive rage if and when he wakes up. It seems hard to believe that our Last Engineer is actually the last Engineer at the pyramid base. I have no facts or movie reference for this thinking or your suggestion but i like you being able to suggest this line of thinking.

It is a thought that crossed my mind too. There is no data on this topic but we can hypothesize. I am going to guess that they get lucky and for some reason the first one they try out just happens to be empty. Just a lucky coincidence. Or perhaps the second one is empty and it takes a little longer to get to it. I believe the way the pyramids were constructed based upon script ideas, there may have been radial tunnels leading to a few ships for each pyramid. This would make searching for one fairly easy. But even if there are just one per pyramid. since all the pyramids are in a straight line it wouldn't take more than a couple of hours to reach two of them so it probably wouldn't take long to locate an empty one. I doubt they would take one with engineers present in cryostatis.

Now when I think they did take another juggernaut that might hold another one lonely engineer >:D… But I kinda stick to the one that it's empty.

There might have been more but yeah David and Shaw took an empty one hopefully. They could accidently waken them if they took and occupied ship. Is it possible that the Engineers have more rooms that have some functionality like an engine room?

If our crew cpuild capture an Engioneer and somehow restrain him from going wacko..they could use the travel time to inform him about just who they are and why they are going to the Engineer's planet. When they arrive , an informed Engineer might help able to explain the humans to the locals. A reasonable Engineer might be useful. The safest would be an empty Juggernaut.

Either way it would be difficult to explain. If there were no occupants on the escape juggernaut, where did they go? And if there were occupants, did they willingly go along with Shaw and David or were they left in stasis? One might imagine the crew sitting around the galley (assuming they eat like we do) discussing the 'aliens' onboard while the ship travels to wherever David drives it.

To all I sort a doubt it .all engineers would probably have been going to assist the engineers running to the ampule room and leaving their ships . So if some engineers stayed behind in the ships after the outbreak would they just have stayed there or would they also have left to assist the infected engineers ? Then why not take a ship and save yourself ? They would not have gone into stasis. Would purpose would that serve ? I propose all engineers left their ship to assist the infected engineers but got either infected or was killed by whatever was after the running engineers . If any engineers was left alive in other ships why not take off and save yourself and then maybe go to earth to finish what was intended : goo nuke earth ????

"..all engineers would probably have been going to assist the engineers running to the ampule room.." With all of the commotion of the Last Engineer firing up the Juggernaut for the earth Trip and the battle with the crew. something should have signaled any Engineers on site. The collision must have alerted somebody somewhere that something is going on unless, as suggested, there were no other Engineers around to answer. Plus even if there was an offworld intruder alert there would, have been enough time to send some ships to investigates. I am not sure of the elapsed time between Shaw/David getting together and their flying off to the Engineer's world. But we are given no indication that other engineers arrived from a distant port. So this deserves some thought as why there were no other Engineers that show up in the final scenes of our movie.. Maybe the 'goo' did get out of hand and wiped out all flying engineers. But there were not enough piled bodies to account for all of the pyramids shown on this plain.

The presence of "Bob" in the control room hasn't been adequately explained either. Did he put himself in stasis to avoid the fate of the other engineers? Was he infected as well and thought stasis would help him survive? If the humans hadn't come along would he have remained in stasis or would the ship eventually wake him automatically? And why was he so PISSED OFF - I mean jeez, I'm grumpy in the morning before I've had my coffee but nothing like this guy.

"Did he put himself in stasis to avoid the fate of the other engineers? " Yes i think so and may have even had reason for being 'ahead of the game' on that front "Was he infected as well and thought stasis would help him survive?" I dont think he was infected and his anger alone just isnt enough of a reason to think so neither is his biomech suit as the holograms of the orrerey show the others wearing them imo but he could have thought he may be infected etc unless of course he knew better (like david and the air quality) "If the humans hadn't come along would he have remained in stasis or would the ship eventually wake him automatically?" I think he may have and the ship itself seemed to need waking up as though it was on standby or sleep mode to reserve power etc there may have been a preset wake up point but how would bob have decided when that should be? his/their plans had been messed up and all he could do was i imagine secure himself and wait. Plus if the ship was set to activate on arrival of humans or other trespassers as opposed to engineers or those with a working knowledge of ship controls (i.e. david!) it would have started up as they arrived and it didnt david had to activate things "And why was he so PISSED OFF " well he didnt seem too pissed off at first but his reaction to weyland and david when it came was sudden and violent but maybe thats just how bob rolls he seems like a warrior his quick decision to behave that way may either be instinct then or he has some foreknowledge that allowed him to make up his mind almost instantly?

And Bob took it upon himself to destry earth, seemingly with out separate orders. I think on other posts there have been mention of Warrior Engineers. Judging by what we see of Bob he seems to fall into that group. Still, to represent the entire Warrior Race and decide to destroy Earth after 2000 years seems to me like it too much to ask from a regular Warrior. And a higher ranking Warrior would be too valuable just to put in statis for an unknown number of years.
