Black goo, and the space-jockey.. thoughts

I pondered this morning again about Prometheus.. Well, that's what makes this so movie great -anyway.. I was thinking about the overall behaviour of the space-jockey, it's traits and so on. In the opening scene, we see a naked engineer, creating life (presumably on earth). All pale, white and majestic. Years pass and on LV-223, David discovers "a space jockey".. This engineer however looks suspiciously different, with Alien traits on his body. And here is my conclusion: We know from the holographic story, that the engineers atempted to flee.. They're own creation turned against them. Everybody, makes it almost canon that it has to be the Xenomorph... I don't agree on this. And why? The engineer we see on LV-223, is infected itself by the black goo, consumed by rage and anger, it's physcial form alterede by the goo.. It's blood in the Deacon scene being all black, and giving birth to the genetic mutation, a result combining human traits, a biological weapon, intellect and strength of the engineers. They got infected by their own weapon, by mistake gave birth to the ultimate weapon, by intervention by the hands of human beings.. Thus, Prometheus gave fire to the gods.. Thoughts??

"..The engineer we see on LV-223, is infected itself by the black goo, consumed by rage and anger, it's physcial form alterede by the goo.." @fox If I correctly read your post are you saying that the Last Engineer was also surprised at his physical appearence?, THat would explain his rage when he discovered our crew standing around the orrery. It stil leaves a problem with the Engineer getting onto the chair and looking pretty comfortable in what he was going to do. It has been suggested before that some goo had been working on the Engineers and your thread adds to this storyline.

Somewhat... Well, my thoughts were initially that the last engineer himself, is consumed by the goo, therefore making him/her(?) a pure rage machine.... Is it that he turned against his own kind, and in pure rage has one mission only - to destroy what the gods attempted to. Spread life through the universe... Basically this engineer has gone rogue.. My belief is that the engineers themselves didn't wanna destroy their own creation, but fell to their own - as they experiment, as gods creating lifeforms.. The engineer getting on the chair however, yes that raises questions.. but then again, what is it? How does it affect the engineers? They might react differently..

My theory is that why would you go ape and start raging while being infected with black goo? I think its because both Fifield and Holloway were infected. The thing is is that since it reacts differently with people, it just made Holloway go crazy because of the amount of pain he was in. Fifield on the other hand was totally consumed by the black goo and was fully mutated. I cant see why the Engineer would be infected, just because he got agry with Weyland, David, Ford, both mercenaries, and then Shaw. He and the other Engineers were alright once the entered the Orrey or bridge/cryo-stasis pod chamber. I also think that when he went ape@#$% he was basically looking at these humans on why they woke him and why is this "man" trying to speak to me as an equal. So in a matter of fact he was p@#*^$ off at mankind for acting like a fellow superior being like how the Engineers think they are. I watched the Commentary with Jon Spaihts and Damon Lindelof and they said from the Engineers point of view "would be like how and why I am I being awoken by a bunch of Chimps who know nothing of the universe and blah, blah, blah, etc...." Any who, yeah thats kinda what I think why in regard to becoming angry because of being infected by another life-form genetic mutation. The "black blood" that we see in the movie to me looks like some kind of fluid that surrounds the insides of his pressure suit. After he got shot and punctered by Shaws ax, that wasnt blood. It was the substance thats inside his suit and maybe has some of his blood mixed in. For keeping his plasma and white blood cells healthy and helped with circulation just like a modern flight suit.

The Anunnaki were on the earth in those days--and also afterward--when the sons of God went to the daughters of humans and had children by them. They were the heroes of old, mighty men of high reno
