Anyone seen this? I read some negative reviews when it came out, but I watched t last night on Sky Movies and I think it's a superb work of claustrophobia, paranoia and terror. Imagine being in situation like that, all communication cut off and 'erased' by your employers for 'national security' - with everything you know and love far away and out of reach - e.g. the tiny half-Earth on the horizon of the Moon's surface. A lonely and horrific death. Where would the soul go?

I bought it on DVD a few months ago. I loved it! The whole idea of being left for dead, helpless & with no way of ever getting back to earth was so scary! *Reminder to self* Never buy any moon rocks off ebay!!! :-D

Agree Lone, I love sci-fi gems like these. 'Splice' was another one - both of these films seem to dip below the radar of corporate/rating/constraints a mainstream pic would have had and it looks to me like they achieved their respective visions on a comparatively low budget.

Certainly joeyjoe. The worst thing you can do is to go off other people's (sometimes totally misguided) opinions. But then again, it's all down to personal preferences for this genre, i.e. low-key like this or OTT like major Hollywood.

@ ZetaReticuli, Splice was great! It's so good to see films which are 'different' & low-key. Not reliant on special effects or 'star' names! Give it a try joeyjoe, you may be pleasantly surprised. :-)

The movie was cool :) so was Splice.... I love stories invlolving genetic engineering It is interesting how many Moon Rocks have actually gone missing!!! President Nixon distributed 269 fragments of Apollo 11 and Apollo 17 moon rock to 135 nations. Today, 159 of them are unaccounted for, either lost, stolen or destroyed. In addition, each of America's states and the District of Columbia were given two pieces, one from each mission; of those 100 samples, 19 are missing, plus one belonging to Puerto Rico and another to the US Virgin Islands. "... The worst thing you can do is to go off other people's (sometimes totally misguided) opinions... This is s true. Just read through the various threads on this site and the opinions that are just not right. I am not familiar with this movie. With a 1,000 channels in cable it has to show up a few times in the next couple of months. I sort of like the storyline and, yes, I have read the spoilers, Still a good movie/storyling is a good story. Nothing wrong with that.

Hmmm Ill check that apollo 18 out - sorry but do not like splice even though it wasn't a total disaster... 'moon' is another good film that people sometimes miss : http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1182345/ a nice little low budget film that's pretty good. Made by david bowies son no less who went on to do source code which wasn't quiet so great I thought after moon being so promising... :P
