What is going on in David's head?

In Christian belief the bible teaches that all humans have a soul and animals and other living organisms do not have a soul. This in mind, does David have a soul? If so, how can David have a soul? Is Weyland Industries that advanced that they could have programed something like a soul into David's mind? Is David merely inquisitive or is he too searching for Paradise? If David has no soul why would an android need a paradise? If David wanted to find Paradise what would he envision as paradise? Another thing that interests me about David is that he killed his creator so he could be free. Free to do what? Why is he helping Shaw find the Engineers? We know Shaw is searching because she wants to meet her creator. But what is David looking for? Assuming that the next movie will be about David and Elizabeth Shaw, I may get some answers to these questions. I would like to know what is going on in that head of yours David? Are other Prometheus fans asking similar questions?
