Are these the same guys we later see in the hologram calmly preparing for cryo? 3 of whom will be horribly killed during their slumber?
PS
If you are so inclined please include the number of times you have seen Prometheus below your post, just for kicks.
You will understand why my family and friends are "joking" about an intervention when i tell you-
15 times and counting. (3 in theaters)

I am not sure because there appeared to be no exit in the "Head Room". I am sure that these are "dark angels" and not the same as the blokes seeding life at the beggining.
Seen the movie four times at Cinema and twice at home. Got the OST, got the 3D Blu-Ray, got the "Art of the Film", four T-Shirts, computer screen savers are all throw back posters. My fantsy football team is even called "Know you Xenomorph". My son and I watched it and always the deleted scences too. Took my son, step son and Dad to the movies.
Love the movie.
Today I have been dedicated to post on as many topics as possible until I pass out from drinking too many beers.

More or less the same guys we saw in the hologram... Based on information given, they all died except for one.
As for the amount of times I've seen Prometheus... you really want to know how many times? Above 50

12 times at the cinema. 3 times at home.
The most terrifying fact about the universe is not that it is hostile but that it is indifferent

Once at the cinema. 20 times at home - and counting.

I think there's even more bodies to be found.
I've only seen it twice, once in the theatre and once at home. No time! Got a Bluray player for my birthday, just for this film, haven't even taken it out of the box! So I watched the DVD, never noticed before the loss of resolution and terrible contrast. Prometheus, what have you done to me?

@Major Noob
I am amazed that you seemed to have grasped the movie details in two viewings. Then proceeed to write some thoughtful posts.
I can't think of too much on the additioanl episodes except I want to see the storyline devoelop in a quality manner...no cheap thrills for me.
Also I want them done now to insure that they will be made and sidetrack by loss of interest, studio interference or a economic turndown.
As far as the number of views that is a litttle bit subjective. Probably 56 six complete veiwing sessions.
I leave the dvd in the computer and can watch it anytime even for 10 minutes, The next session just sort of picks up where I stopped.
At some point you know the movie quite well so starting iot at any point can be worthwhile.
This site is partly to blame doe this viewing habit. Just about every movie scene has recieved a comment or two. During the viewing sessions I am thinking of several posts that point out the details or themes of any scene. It makes for an interesting viewing even if it just for a short time.
Enjoy youe Blu-Ray PLayer..I am going to listen to some Kinks music on my 8-track.

If the other silos each have a juggernaught, then there would be at least 20-24 Engineers, that is 4 per ship. That could explain the large 'pile'.
The silos could have gone on further than the eye can see, so there could be even more. Whether they are all dead, or some remain in stasis, or made it off LV-223 we don't know.
4 times at the cinema & at least once per week since the Blu-ray release!

@RegularParrot
When Janek says "last time they radioed in was just outside where you found your head", referring to Millburn and Fifield, was he referring to the conversation they had while standing near the pile of dead Engineers?
This would imply 2 entrances to the Head Room.

Indy- a great deal of my understanding what I saw came compliments of all of you, and the various articles I've read. Honestly I knew the movie inside and out before I even saw it, which I wish I hadn't done, although the experience of having it be totally awesome in the theatre when I had been led to expect so little was fantastic!

Everytime I watch that scene where all those dead Engineers are piled up I get this feeling there were all killed and dragged there and piled up..... a xenomorph and a Deacon would cacoon the remains, at least the past 4 Alien movies that's what happened to most of the bodies in the movie.... I think the Engineers were killed or assinated and I hope that is explained in the sequel....
Saw the movie in the theaters 3 times, got my blu-ray a day before the disc set was available, and I was amazed w/the quality of the picture/movie... watch over 40 times, special features about 4 times, and watched the movie w/Ridley commentary 2 times
I should reach the frontier in about 6 weeks. With a little luck, the network will pick me up. This is Ripley, last survivor of the Nostromo....

Well the Dead Engineer was 3rd in the group before he fell so the others where not running away from him.
There appears to be like 6 all together. The bodies piled up against that one door that had inscriptions on seemed to be at least 10 but as much as 15 i would say we are looking at 12-13 bodies, add to that the decapitated one and add to that what appears to be another few on way to the pile.
This means there are a large number of dead Engineers we know for sure that their appears to be about 15+ dead at the very least.
Seen Movie...
2 Times on Big Screen... once 3D once 2D
2 Times via Web Download/Itunes via Phone and HDMI
3-4 times in full on Blu-Ray inc twice in 3D.
Total about 7 times total all the way though.
But seen and skipped through many scenes and extras over and over while using as research for topic discussions on this forum.

I dont believe they were the same Engineers, In the ship hologram, they look relaxed preparing the ship. They could've been preparing it for a kamikaze course for Earth.
Also there is no time frame on the hologram recordings, but i think the hologram in the ship is when things were under control.
I've seen Prometheus 2 times at the cinema and 4 and counting on blu-ray on my PS3, im always on this site through my PS3 too. =P

Man, I'm not going to believe one [CENSORED] Deacon, even an adult Deacon, can take out several Engineers. I will never believe this. They've been mastering the art of engineering for eons and eons of time, there should be no surprises regarding this pure specimen.
Something else happened to them.

Well Lindeloffs Draft gives clues and if Prometheus is just a changed version of that which it appears it is.
Then that Draft says that the Engineers got themselves infected by the Substance Bio Weapon and it mutated some of them and those not mutated was running away to try and commit suicide so they can prevent the full effects of the infection.
