September 28, 2012Wow the blue ray version will be worth watching far more so than the DVD version that I just watched last night with its deleted scenes, of which there are about 8. But none of the deleted scenes came anywhere near as fascinating as the alternate ones on the Blue ray. That scene at the end with Shaw asking David where the Engineers came from and his answer 'Paradise' is most revealing. It explains where the leaked title of the sequel may be derived from. I am sure Ridley Scott already has a larger overview of where Prometheus and paradise fit into and are not just improvising as they go along as has been done in past screen writes in this series ( I am including the alien series here).
The DVD version by the way is in it self very stunning to watch at home on a big screen HD TV. Its extraordinary how much Ridley Scott has evolved along with the film making process over the years. If you watch the making of alien or blade runner before they had access to modern CGI techniques, what they did with mat (or however that word is spelled) paintings and models only was incredible but what they can do now is mind blowing.
