So, with Prometheus passed and the DvD and BluRay coming up for release, we here at Scified.com want to engage the artistic fans here and across the globe. We want you to design and post your own version of what you think the adult Deacon Alien will look like or could look like in Prometheus 2. To make this even more engaging, the most detailed and interesting design artists will win a Prometheus poster! We can allow up to 3 winners to start, but if more submit their works, we can always increase that number so that more artists win and get something for their hard work!

How can we tell if it's genuine? We ask that somewhere on the piece of art you add your site display name here on Scified.com, small in the corner, or under your signature if you so choose to do so. There are already a lot of artist renditions of the Deacon on the internet, but what we are looking for are NEW artwork pieces. So post yours here! It can be any kind of art, from digital to paint. Just post it as a reply to this thread and each day I'll check in and see the artwork! After about 3-4 weeks I'll announce the first batch of winners. I realize creating truly immense works of art takes a lot of time. The contest will remain open until our supply of poster giveaways diminishes. So, anyone can win and show off your talent at the same time! So start your work today share with us your vision of the adult Deacon! Get creative!

I believe the deacon is something we haven't seen before. The Deacon Alien is a combination of Xenomorph and human characteristics. Navson Thats pretty close to what I was thinking the Xeno Cat would look like. There are however four of five larger vertebrae along the spinal column that would indictate that the Xeno Cat had some type of spikes in the form of bone coming from its back. Perhaps the spinal column bone structure was a base for a muscle mass that included tendrils that would wrap around the Xeno Cats stomach where the worm cans could be carried that would allow more worm cans to carried in hand. "Don't worry, I carry extra magazines in a side pouch just in case."

My NECROMORPH or DEACON. It's a bit like the original alien in form, but it's more natural, less bio-mechanical. It has stigmata lol. *Picture removed*

I just learned how to do this right now so I hope you guys like it. I am an visual artist but work normally in classical media like acrylic on canvas etc.. So this was a new experience for me.

yay! I got the image to upload. I just uploaded it to FB then right clicked to copy the URL and clicked on the picture icon above and added reply. I had tried to do it with Snorkelbottom's description using Photobucket but it didn't work. This is the easiest way to do it believe me.

Wow I just had to comment on Jaystein777's version of the adult deacon. Amazing and horrifying, great work! About how long did that take to create just curious? Also just wanted to say good job to nostromo001 on your first digital paintings. Keep pumping them out you will get better over time.

Since earliest days, since the beginning of the Alien story, since 1978 Swiss German artist HR Giger collaborates with RS. It is HR Giger who creates the aesthetic breakthrough for Alien 1 … no doubt Alien through Giger becomes the SciFi flic of the 80s that invested so solidly in establishing a non-Earth scenario which shoke its unsuspecting movie audiences (used to Hollywood's superficial Sci Fi tin can images ) to the very core ... HG Giger's dark-metallic creativity installs fear in one's imagination. Since Giger, and perhaps for the very first time in Sci-Fi movies, for many in the audience, his alien world looked and felt too realistic not to be real. The sound track in Alien 1, as well, broke with past films musical tracks ... it becomes metallic, screeching, hissing in Alien ... in a perfect accompaniment to Giger's dark, suggestive visual creation. I really liked SINED's idea of a translucent Deacon and and incorperated into a script I was working on. very nice artwork here by all though.

The original Alien that was introduced in 1979 was more smooth in it's newborn state, as was the Deacon from Prometheus. But the adult had a much more intricate carapace/exoskeleton, that I used as a basis for what an adult Deacon might look like.
