Hello, lately Ive been wondering why the engineers would want us to come visit them at there military installation, why not there actual home? I mean as humans if we wanted ET visiting us we wouldn't give them the location of area 51. So in that case why would they lead us to a secret military installment filled with death,? and material with extreme value to the engineers.. So tell me, why?

or even HOW DID THEY GET THROUGH LV-223'a defenses? I'm assuming a "Military Base" would have DEFENSES? Remember, 10.11.12's filthy corporate lucre is on a TOTAL REHASH, REBIRTH, REIMAGINING of the original Prometheus footage; copyright Yutani - coming sooner than you dream'd.

I dont think the engineers invited us to their planet at all. The cave drawings were made by the indigenous people of this planet, correct? I've always thought these primitive people were just telling a story. A story of the visitors they encountered. Just as other cave drawings told stories of hunting animals etc. I've assumed that the engineers have visited us throughout our evolution, & occasionally it was documented by these primitive cultures. Since were talking about LV-233, I have a thought about why it was abandoned too, or why the engineers home planet never sent a rescue team. I think the fallen engineers had a 'broken arrow' on their hands with the xenos, & followed a protocol to quarantine the planet. or....seeing as these beings are used to cryosleep, deep space travel, (not to mention the time it takes to observe the evolution of the human race experiment) their home planet might just be too far away to expect a rescue in a mere 2k years.

A lot of things don't make sense or are hard to figure out. I also don't feel it was an invite, but as for the fallen theory goes I'm leaning both ways. Because in tge movie it says that on LV-223 they must have died some 2k yrs ago n RS says that he wanted to put the jesus thing in there meaning they were gonna kill us cuz of what we did to Jesus. So if the SJ's were mad cuz of that n wanted to kill us would that make them evil or fallen cuz Jesus from what I remember was a good guy. U get what I'm saying? I can c some SJ's being mad about it and some saying like let it go it's not our place to get involved, but then again y send a peace maker like for what reason... I could go on n on but I'm sure u get my point n totally off the topic but oh well

@ParkerN Oh no...I gave up on it, long ago - and I haven't seen one suggestion yet that makes much sense as an explanation, within the context of what we've been shown. "They were not invitations", just does not seem to work.

Maybe at the time those cave writings were done that place wasn't a military thing at all. In fact they resemble a temple. Could have been temples a long time ago but then got used as a military base of sorts...

they are not even asking to come to that planet. the message seems to be misunderstood.
Uncertainty is the only certainty there is, and knowing how to live with insecurity is the only security.

@David 1 i was thinking of that too and it seems pretty reasonable, oh and @HuDs0n, the engineers left the cave drawing and pictograms, cause as you can see in the drawing they were much taller, and in some humans were bowing down to the engineer. (S)

If you had an open invite for creatures from around the universe(you don't really think that Earth was the only plaet out of billions and billions of planets to get an invite do you?) a Military base would be the best place to be their port of entry into your world. It would be easy to assess their threat to your world. Abd considering other factors just how much of you world do you really want to show aliens like humans? Then you can show off your real world when it is determained that not threat to you is incvolved. If this happenned to our humans(not as depicted in the movie) then I am sure that Fifield/ Millburn/Holloway and Janek would be ready to party down with the locals. Getting back to our movie we can tell their defence/assessment center is down. Something has happenned and there in lies the substance of our show,
