Wow! So super icky and epic. Now, if THAT had been on the cave walls, everybody would have stayed home... This reminds me of [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Sparrow_(novel)]The Sparrow[/url] by Mary Doria Russell. That story is HARDCORE, and so well-imagined from a "first contact" gone "so wrong" perspective.

I have to say, the hammerpede is a really nice touch...
