Girl playing violin

I thought it was a flute? from what I have been reading anyways...lol...some people seem upset about it !!!

lol theres lots of musical instruments in there...poor Spartacus he's just trying to keep an open mind for the film..I feel you man, I was so excited too until last night...urgh...wait and see for yourself, you may like it, thats all that matters but me...I feel like crying..it was so close too...so close

i know that music, it is piece from wieniawski, named scherzo tarantelle............ really wonderfull.

The violin seems related to the harp another string instument. The harp is a reflection of the religious theme/instrument of Good and fallen angels. It is interesting to note that the vilon playig in the earkly scenes seem quite innocent. In the final scenes inside the crashed shuttle the girl playing the violin seems way out of place as space ships have crashed all humans except one are dead(we think) and at time Shaw seems to have lost hope almost ready to give up. Perhaps the little girl with shimmering strings was enought to help Shaw not only to endure but also to gather a strong resolve to carry on to the next stop to find the Engineer's world.

The girl with violin alludes to a movie called [i]The Red Violin[/i] which gives us insights into what the movie is really about.

The violin playing occurs several times throughout the movie..to be seen by various charactors. Is eems the story of the red violin had many storylines..each of which could be related to our movie. But why was that particular scene selected by Weyland or Vickers. Weyland making the selection seems more in line with our story. Still with Vickers taking the final ride to the moon's surface there could be some additional connections to our storyline. I did see a piano (also a stringed instrument) in the shuttle,,but don't recall a violin except in the video. Then again it could be al an accidental choice.

The first story in [i]The Red Violin[/i] is called the Moon altho clues are not in the individual stories but in the overall story, from the construction of the violin to the switch and its theft at the end.

I am not familiar with the Red Violin storyline. A quick wiki check gaver me what meager info I have of that movie's storyline. It does sound like an interesting story. If posters could expand on the Prometheus connection that would be quite interesting. If not then we must each seek the meaning the best we can.
