The alien interior of the 'Temple Mount' complex... more Alien DNA for us to chew up on the similarities...
There is a version where that snapshot I have shown up there was painted yellow in many parts but the man doing some of the model work up until that moment I think six weeks or months into filming Alien left and the yellow was painted over making it the more dirty grey look we are now all familiar with.

MemberOvomorphMay-25-2012 7:06 PMI think that's the interior of the engine room that Ripley is looking out across. It would be housed in the massive, blockish area behind the neck-like section of the Nostromo, were the A, B and C decks are located. At least, that's always been my assumption.
They are incredibly similar and it's great to see that Scott isn't straying too far from original designs, because they were fantastic! Yet another reason to get excited!

With regards to the snapshot I captured from the DVD it is around the part where Ripley is arming the self explosives to detonate. You can hear Mother talking from across the tannoy in the background and around ain general.
