Alien and Batman

After finding out some stuff about this movie, i think its safe to compare it to Batman. We all remember the 1989 Batman movie staring Michael Keaton and Jack Nicholson and the Franchise that followed.... it was done to death and some movies started to lack that freshness of the first few..... sound familiar? Then we had Batman Begins... and while Batman 1989 gave us some indictation to the orgin of Batman and his Story it never did it in much detail if any at all.... just as Alien did not with the Xeno Orgins.... Now Batman Begins was a detailed explanation of Batman before he became the Crime Stopper Hero that he was in Batman, the movie was released as a prequel, but it had a more depth and darker side to it.... essentially while it was a story about Batmans Orgins, it never directly lead to the 1989 movie. It was more of a retelling of the story... and character. Then we had the Dark Knight we was basically a direct sequel to Batman Begings but it was also a retelling/reboot of the Orginal Batman 1989 movie. This franchise ends with the Dark Knight Rises, it would apear that Batmans crime fighting days will come to a end... and while this would be a disapointment to some Batman fans, because it means this new franchise never touched upon or revisited/rebooted Villians such as Penguin, The Ridler and Mr Freeze etc and what about Robin his sidekick.... We will see a easter egg to Robin, but he will not apear in that movie.... So new Batman Franchise, no Robin, no Mr Freeze, Ridley or Penguin... damn thats a let down for Batman fans... But then if you can get past that, and if you can watch the movies on their merits many would agree it made a much deeper, darker and better story than the 1989 to 1997 Franchise even though yes it left out some characters... My point being that this is how i see Prometheus going, there are elements from Alien Universe that will be covered but in more depth, and the story would be set as a orgins and before Alien.... just as Batman Begins is set prior to Batman 1989.... Does that mean that a Prometheus 2 could revist Alien but in a reboot we just dont know, its fair to say that Ridley is not goin to create a story and plot that concerns Shaw and her having a Baby that grows into a Organism that we can familiarise with the Xeno and indeed Face Hugger, we dont know how Prometheus would end... But it could be that after the movie the last of the Engineer Jockeys could be gone... So if Shaws Baby and what ever it spawns are also gone in this movie, then the only things to be explored really if Prometheus 2 is set after this movie, would be the survivors and what becomes of Weyland Corp, what becomes of LV 223 and its secrets in those Urns and what ever else it may create. So i guess we need to give this movie a chance, does Batman Dark Knight Trilogy mean that we cant consider the Batman 1989-1997 Anthology to not exist or that they should be consider not propper Batman films.... No it does not, its just a alternative story... just as the new Spiderman reboot of the Spiderman Trilogy that was released prior.... So thus Ridley is going to do the same with this movie, and no doubt Prometheus 2 would be about a Alien Organism, that has likeness to the Xeno, but allows Ridley to explore new ways for how it evolves, and not be limited to the Xeno Cycle etc..... Will Prometheus make or try to sugest that we should just Burn our coppies of Alien Franchise... nope... Yes we may never get a exact detail of Derelict on LV 426 and its Cargo or how it was exactly created, Prometheus will show us what the Engineers are and what they do and how simular creations can be created which will give us clues to how the Xeno may had also been created. And as in my other thread Ridley has already explained what the Derelict was doing on LV 426 and what became of the Pilot already.
