What kind of aliens are involved in the Ancient Alien Theory?

Hello all,

I am doing a media makeup project on the aliens involved in the Ancient Alien Theory of human evolution. I am looking for opinions of what sort of aliens you think would have visited earth thousands of years ago?

I will use the opinions on this forum to create designs for my alien makeup project, which aliens do you think are most realistic and why?

We can go down the route of 'Prometheus' engineer ET's or 'Fire in the sky' dark grey aliens, or anything related.

Would the anatomy and physiology of an alien be similar to humans?

I think the main interest for me, is how so many Ancient Cultures and Many who would have had NO contact with each other share so many Creation/Gods kind of Mythos and Legends. There are so many similarities in a lot of these that it can get us pondering is this purely coincidence?

The Deluge Story is one example.

I am not saying the Biblical account is right, just that so many other cultures and mythos share the same connections, we could put it down to a DIRECT Origin of a Story thats passed on culture to culture and changes a little.... but a number of Cultures had no such CONTACT

BigDave I think what most may have had in common was observing the stars, moon, sun, sky, weather patterns, etc... and some differences may have been how they interpreted them.
