For the Alien thirsty

These are stills from two recent sci-fi flicks I think are worth checking out: "The Untamed" and "Beyond Skyline". The first one is a truly dark and shocking exploration into sexuality, telling the story of an older couple living in an isolated cabin, who host an alien lifeform that seems to strive when offered sexually willing individuals. This is one of those WTF premises that really works, and the practical effects are outstanding (it gets much more explicit that on the picture). "Beyond Skyline" is a much better sequel to the so so "Skyline", and has some impressive special effects as well, with aliens transferring human brains into machines. First 4 pictures belong to "The Untamed", last 3 to "Beyond Skyline".

The First One looks interesting....

Kind of reminds me of some of those drawings that David had as far as maybe ideas he had planned for Dr Shaw

Yeah I was surprised how good that movie was ("The Untamed"), and the special effects take you totally off guard. A great example of what practical effects can do for you as opposed to digital effects. The design of the alien creature was very gigeresque... the other movie is more of a guilty pleasure; I was surprised to see a lot of plot elements taken from Prometheus and Predator... the story needed more focus but it was pretty entertaining nonetheless.

If Untamed is on Netflix or Hulu, I will be there.

Nope- only on DVD where I live.
