The second video gives info about an old idea that I like very much: the alien eggs were not created by the Engineers, but they had found them on LV-426 and... (watch the video)

Interesting, but I would think the very first hugger the SJ moved would have face hugged him? I still think the pyramid idea was best, but we all know why that didn't happen. I like the idea that we the eggs would have remained a mystery. Still, here we are and David has a hand in it.

Any resemblance between the two images below?

Giger’s first abortive attempt at the chestburster, inspired by Francis Bacon.

A lot of unused, original materials came to light in Prometheus and Covenant to illustrate the evolution of the alien.

I wonder if he will use Giger’s early design of the egg silo in the next film.

daliens - Yes! And there are small eggs next to the burster on the table as well - BigDave highlighted the similarity here:

It's cool to hear that these prequels were gestating in Scott's head since Alien 79 :) I always wondered who the Space Jockey was and where the Alien came from so I'm glad they're being addressed.

I agree with you Lawrence of Arabia.

I think every fan would be satisfied to see the following storyline in the next Alien movie:

The Engineers are not the creators of the LV-426 eggs, but they had found them and took some of them to Planet 4. The Space Jockey couldn't escape from the moon.

David found an egg (from LV-426) on Planet 4. (AC novelization) He just recreated the monster. He thought the egg had been created by the Engineers, but the truth is that there is an unknown and mysterious species behind everything.

Sorry, I missed that post from BigDave.
