Phobos Short: Is Phobos a Virtual Synthetic (VS)?

Is there a connection between the two numbers in the names?

Walter: 37 and VS: 19.37?

That's awesome that the tech was a synthetic! But, how could you all tell? I guess I'd be really bad at identifying synthetics.

Also, I thought the test was called "phobos" because it's the Greek root for "phobia" meaning "fear" and the test was intended to determine each participants fears.

And next to Phobos there's a Scandinavian name, the name of the voice actor, and after that you can see: VSN: WY19.37.

That's why I think that Phobos is the name of the Virtual Synthetic WY19.37.

VSN, virtual synthetic. That makes sense. The voice did generate questions based on the participants' responses. I guess I assumed the tech was a typing using a text to speech program or something. 

So, I guess the tech didn't actually do much besides supervise.

Could be Virtual Serial Number?  I usually think of Screen Name or Serial Number when I see SN.

drucea - Yes, of course, I had wanted to add that 'name' can be 'number' as well, etc.

Nice Theory... i am not sure we can read to much into this as they are using the Cast Members real names...

i.e

WALTER    MICHEAL FASSBENDER CREW CV-07 [SYNTHETIC]

And so we are getting hints at those behind the Video as far as Cast and Production.

Shea is usually a Boys name but then sometimes a Girl can be called Shea... Hlynur is a Scandinavian Boys name.

So these are likely the Names of those cast as the Technician and Voice of the Computer

The interesting parts are the D Class Synthetic and indeed the as you had assumed Virtual Synthetic... i cant argue with that and indeed it is likely a Computer like MUTHUR

The WY19.37 is interesting and maybe a Easter Egg?

As we did have in ALIEN Special Order 937

Maybe 37WYS is his run number? He's number 37 off the production line?
