Go and Watch Covenant at the Theatre...

It is a sad and ridiculous fact that this site is full of true Alien fans who have so much energy and time to post negative articles and partial box office numbers some days after the premiere.

No problems with personal opinions but trying to manipulate others is a different thing. We should respect the movie, the actors, the director and their work.

Saw it twice. i liked it better my second viewing and its definaly in my top 3  

Eh, I saw it twice in the theater already, but that just doesn't make it a great movie. 

The "you can't please all the people, all the time" old saying applies. I think the makers of this movie were trying to hard to please everyone, the people who liked Prometheus, and the people who only like Alien/Aliens. I feel like it backfired on them because to me, there wasn't a complete enough story told to satisfy either fanbase.

i was personally only disappointed by the lack of expanding on the engineers story, but that didn't ruin the movie for me. What made it mediocre for me was just the small storytelling. Besides the David as god/Satan storyline (which was the most interesting part to me) there wasn't much to the story.

 @Ati I only posted something saying "not good for Alien Covenant sequel" because I honestly was just worried that the franchise might not go ahead with next film due to low box office numbers which would make me sad and heartbroken..So I'm with you Ati all the way on the continuation of the prequel trilogy..

Ati, I agree. If people do not like the movie than that's fine and they can post their opinion but I see people constantly bashing this movie. If u like than like it. If u don't then don't. Let's move on to the next movie now. 

Black Goo Bandit You need to understand we need to vent our frustrations a little bit. Hopefully we can get out message through and they just discard that 10 page treatment for a sequel and start from scratch.

Why not just let them make the movie they want to make and instead of wasting your energies on digesting every little piece of information that comes about and generally ruining the movie before seeing it, wait until it comes out and if like it great, if you dont great but stop acting like movies should me made for your own purposes. Like the old days, before "fanboys" destroyed movies.

 forums are for debate and free speech except possible death threats and alike :D . Is it it better to be a fan that just praises everything someone makes or better to say when they think it's bad! We don't know but imagine fox drove the story into this area and Ridley is hoping for criticism so he can get back in the driving seat properly again! Thanks for the compliment above Weyland_Yootani. As is the movie this discussion forum is for entertainment. I haven't wasted energy because I enjoyed my time and the movie.

First, I think everyone has the right to their opinion.  Do you see me complaining about everyone who praises the movie; which I get totally flabbergasted about.  

As a fan, movie goer in general that ultimately pays as a consumer; I have every right to feel bitter if I got ripped off from a piece of trash such as Covenant.  

If you want to spend your money on multiple viewings; then have it.  I gave my money and viewed the movie in showing my support.  

This was a great movie that I have really enjoyed watching!
