well, if you havent been to see it yet, dont read on.

assuming origae - 6 is eventually LV-426, and there is a crashed juggernaut with a jockey/engineer onboard, we have to get the engineer to lv426 somehow.

there could be engineers who find davids eggs, then modify them/clone them and decide to bomb origae - 6 to stop humans colonising it. An egg must hatch to kill the jockey or maybe it just crashes? The xenomorph could be the next gen from whats in covenant.

this would explain a lot about how the ship gets there.

My other theory is that david/weyland have been in contact with the engineers All along (weylands chair at the beginning of covenant) and david, walter, the crews are all meant to be offerings or what the engineers have aked for. After all, david is immune to goo and xenomorphs, hes the perfect black goo manipulator. The space jockey may be bound for earth after getting david to make more xeno eggs and somehow it crashes?

I will now try and cover a lot of other stuff, and Please dont take this in any offense, its only my opinion based on how i see the clues.... and so does not mean i am in any shape or form Right.. and its still interesting to debate other things even if i feel clues contradict it... as well a lot of Alien Covenant contradicts a lot of clues anyway lol and who am i to say Ridley Scott/Logan got it wrong ;)

Origae 6 i believe is not LV-426 unless RS and Logan did less homework....  The Journey time to Origae 6 as of December 4th 2104 is 7 years, and so the Covenant would have arrived in about the year 2121 (bit close to Alien Date so maybe they will go the LV-426 route lol).

The Covenant Ship has to Re-charge with its Sails every 1.5 to 2 years, the ship did this in Alien Covenant and so we can assume the Ship has already been in Space for 1.5 to 2 years.  The Ship is a Weyland-Yutani Ship which means it has to be a mission after the year 2099.

Prometheus took 2 years to get to LV-223 (39LY) the 2116 Refitted Nostromo would take 10 Months to cover the same distance. The Covenant looked more Advanced than that TUG... and it had some Pretty Huge Engines compared to Prometheus.. but if we assume its only as fast as Prometheus... then Origae 6 would still be another 140 Light Years away... Thus its unlikely it would be LV-426

The Covenant has Left Earth.... we dont know what time but the longest would have to been leaving in the year say 2100 so 4 years... the least i would say would be about 18 months into its journey...   (at the End of Covenant the Synthetic mentions it will be another 1.6 years to the next Charging Time).

For the Covenant to be say 1.5 to 4 years into its journey and having another 7 years to go, if its Destination is LV-426 means the Covenant is traveling at say between 3.6 to 4.6X Speed of Light (Prometheus was nearly 20X and Nostromo 47X)

And yet the detour to Paradise takes 7 weeks... and so thus means Paradise is 0.45 to 0.6 Light Years away from where the Neutrino Blast Happened... if we assume its 7 more years to LV-426

Which raises one massive Plot Hole as it would have to mean Paradise is so close to Earth... 10-15 LY average that how come Mankind has never found it before?

I would rather assume the Covenant has been gone for say 2-3 years and traveled 120-180 Light years before they detect the Signal... maybe further... as we dont know a few things.

1) Covenants Departure Date

2) Covenants average Speed

But i think it its likely that Origae 6 is not LV-426

The Covenant Crew do not know nothing about Prometheus, Ridley Scott confirmed this... but Walter knows a bit about the mission, but it seems only that it contained the Founder of the Weyland Company and it was deemed Lost.

We cant rule out if Walter is alive or not... i would however assume the Juggernaught is out of commission as we have to ask Why David did not take the ship, it appears he was stranded.

It would be a big ask for Walter to Repair the Ship.

But we cant rule out Walter Repairing himself... and maybe even then being infected by the Eggs.... either before or after a Engineer Ship arrives and finds out whats gone down... then decides to head off to Earth or LV-223.

"The ship already on LV-426."

Indeed all clues point to this, Prometheus hints to this, and Ridley Confirmed it.... however we just dont know how much of a U-Turn they have made now.. Sadly...

Unfortunaly It seems to me that R.Scott Is done with Engineers.Covenant Is the sad burial to Prometheus. He's admited to feel frustration with fans reaction to Prometheus and his answer has been following the easy path:more aliens, less deep questions, and more industrial films.

Coherence Is Lost. There are two origins for the alien eggs:as David's handcraft and the Alien Queen.
