Awesome! :D Aliens does not seem to be canon. This is new. :)

So only Prometheus, Alien, and Alien Covenant are canon - at the moment.

I thought FOX was the deciding authority on canon. Then again, another member argued canon to be decided by the individual.

Fox owns the franchise, it's their decision what is canon. Likely based on monetary aspects. And they'll make movies and license merchandise (books etc.) accordingly. Like Disney did with Star Wars.

Scott should keep in mind that he isn't the only "good" director. Whether he created the universe or not doesn't matter in the end.

Of course every one can decide what is canon for him but that's a personal matter.
