Is Walter constructed (grown) in the same room as the piano?
rumsmuggler, yes the android construction is very disturbing.
The David and Walter models are constructed differently, see this topic.
Neomorph, Walter seems to be grown opposed to constructed like David because of the DNA component.
Walter (above) is different from David models because Weyland-Yutani Corporation somehow incorporates the customer DNA into Walter's makeup (synthetic/organic hybrid).
Walter advertisement above. David advertisement below.
Walter's head above. David's head below.
Now I may not have done my share of homework in regards to this topic but that suddenly makes things interesting.
I was partly referring to the overall weird aesthetic in the video but we all know Ridley likes his art.
Neomorph, that is why I'm fascinated with the androids. They seem to be the resilient theme in the trailers and I can't wait to see what happens to Walter.
Here are other shots of Walter's construction. David is presented in a box and awoken while Walter is handed a drink and clothes and begins to answer questions.
Walter is born with a full head of hair.
David is delivered bald and his hair grows.
Absolutely, Ridley seems rather fascinated by the Android theme in general and questions about what defines "human" and what is considered "humane", with similar themes already present in Blade Runner way back.
Not to mention that it looks like David has become the core of the narrative.
some very good points Ingeniero especially the one about how David had no Hair and Walter was constructed with Hair ;)

BigDave, thank you. David's hair grows so that tells us a little bit about this image (below).
