Your favourite tense moment in Alien series

My favorite tense scene would be in ALIEN 3, when the dog Alien confronts Ripley face to face, but leaves because she's hosting a queen.

Waiting for Bishop to circle back in the drop ship at the end of Aliens while the reactor is seconds from blowing.. that one always gets me

I have 2 Favorite tense moments.  They're from the actors and not from the alien.  

1. After Ripley refused to open the door and she went down to the infirmary to see what was happening.  Lambert slapped Ripley.  When watching the backstory of that scene Veronica Cartwright kept trying to slap Sigourney and she kept pulling away.  Ridley told her to just let her have, so she did.  That "almost" fight scene was for real.  Sigourney was gonna whoop that A$$ - Talk about "real" tension between two women after a good smack to the face.

2. When Parker and Sigourney were argueing.  That was a real argument because Sigourney kept screwing up her lines.  Ridley decided to keep the argument in the film to keep the tension high.

Rick- yep. Also real was the reaction from the crew to the Kane scene.

dk, more importantly was Lamberts scream when getting drenched in the blood.

My favorite tense scene was in Aliens when Ripley wakes up from cryo sleep and chats with Burke in the hospital. All of a sudden, she begins to hallucinate that there is an alien coming out of her.

rick, I love the slap scene. iv always had a thought that veronica enjoyed that slap as she was under the impression she had got the part of ripley. in the end I think the right choice was made. she made a brilliant character for the audiences fear to be shown on screen

@Rick Speaking of Tensions on the Alien set, the actors and ridley have said that that set was around 90 degrees Fahrenheit (about 32 deg C) throughout filming. That heat plus uniforms plus lighting plus pressure of filming, plus the tight spaces, all contributed to real tension constantly on that set, and it comes through on film so well in so many places!
